When you created a issue, how long does it take for the acceptance telegram to arrive? :?

<-- not an issue editor or mod

It depends on the quality of the submission. If your submission gets the attention of the editors, there will be a round of editing, and it might still fail to make the cut. So, probably the best course of action is to post a draft here first. Read the FAQ and How To very carefully and follow the suggestions and formatting it describes:

viewtopic.php?f=13&t=424657

Be open to the recommendations folks make, and keep an eye out for Editors' suggestions especially. Refrain from submitting until they think you're ready. This may take a while, but if Editors think your idea has merit, you'll probably have a much better chance of success.

Giving your idea the best possible shot is the point of this forum. Don't rush it, and listen carefully to advice.

I had an issue recently accepted, so you might take a look at the drafting thread as an example of the process. Total time from first draft to acceptance was just over a month:

IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION: While Autonomous Cleaner Bot Cleaners have a smart navigation system that avoids obstacles, the robot may occasionally bump into furniture, objects, pets and ideological assumptions. Therefore, if you have special objects and assumptions that could potentially be damaged by the bumping, remove these objects and assumptions from the room or use boundary markers. Additionally, refrain from looking into laser vision system with remaining eye.

Basically, everything that Autonomous Cleaner Bot Cleaners says.

Before you submit an issue, you should check how to write an issue. Then, when you have an idea, check the Spoiler thread, to see if it exists and possibly ask in the Writer's Block (more experienced GI players may know of existing issues that you have not found from a ctrl+F search of the spoilers).

When you're ready to draft, I suggest you do it here in GI, where experienced issues' authors and editors can guide you through the process (you may want to look at current drafts to get an idea for formatting).

When you've submitted your draft, forget about it. Don't ask about it, or think about it. Move right on to a brand new draft and a new idea.

If the draft is accepted, which is not a certainty, it may take days, weeks or months to be edited -- depending on how long it takes for an editor to select it. It may take longer.

There's no set time period.

Just take your time, listen to advice, enjoy the process and keep writing.

Welcome to GI.
