Hmm, interesting. "Shot dead three people", or "shot three people dead"...
To me, the former sounds more natural in this context. In a news report, I'd say "three people were shot dead", but in recounting a story, I'd definitely go with "shot dead three people".
None of these approaches feels wrong to me though.
