Blurred flags

Why are lots of flags blurred? There are lots in the nation's page and in cards. I junk or try to sell cards because they look ugly blurred.

Flags in the card game may be blurred particularly for nations using the default flags or old flags that were made at a lower resolution than the width of the cards, so the image is stretched to fit making it look blurred
