I presume that "other game staff" in this context means "Admins & Mods"?

Yes. Good submissions by Roleplay Mentors and members of the GA Secretariat go in the regular pool.

Apologies, didn't mean to diminish the contribution of RP or GA folk.

Just had this as "dilemma" (actually a trilemma in this case) 1132 and it doesn't resemble any of the drafts in the opening post. The main reason for the massive *BUMP* though is that it contained a reference to installing national pride in athletes as if it were a computer program.

The correct verb is, of course, 'instil' and if that version had been posted here I'm sure such an error wouldn't have slipped through. The fact that the original proposer was also listed as the editor for the Issue certainly raised alarm bells here.

I suppose it goes here. I also imagine, by virtue of the existence of the role of editor, the issue was edited, which is why it doesn't look like the OP.

And what some people call a bump, others call a gravedig.

You seem to misunderstand the process of editing. We don't just slap issues into the game as-is; significant changes are made after submission, with the feedback of the entire editing team. The final version(s) are never posted publicly prior to being put in the game.

Furthermore, self-edited issues are subject to more scrutiny than player issues, requiring 5 editors to sign off, not just 3. We all make mistakes - the fact that there's a megathread dedicated to fixing typos in issues is evidence of that fact. August Imperium is correct - this query would be better-placed there, and didn't require you to gravedig a draft thread.

Sorry for posting in the wrong place. Wasn't an intentional "gravedig" as I did search extensively for a more appropriate thread but that one never came up. I hesitated before bumping but just thought that it was a particularly egregious error for a 5yo issue that had supposedly been checked and re-checked extensively.

I'm not familiar with the process here either – in over 18 years at NS this is only my third post. The offsite forums were enough of a timesink back in the day without constantly popping here as well. Nowadays, as you can probably tell by the timing of this reply, I only log in once a week. Apologies again for offending the regulars.
