Hello! *insert amazing game show music here* Welcome back to the 2017 Best Issues Awards!
"You're late!"
I was giving people time to nomina-
"suuuure"

... also I may have also accidentally forgotten to put favorite issues in the box to copy/paste so now they're both together... sorry about that ...

ANYHOW, So, how does this work? Well, along with some fun-fact statistics, which sound really boring,
there are going to be nine categories that YOU now get to vote for!

By the way, these are still only for issues 653 through 875

And the categories are:

Favorite issue sorry...
Funniest issue
Most important issue
Weirdest issue
Best description
Best option
Best character
Best parody/reference (issue or otherwise)
Funniest joke (issue or otherwise)
Most likely to become a hit author
Best data informer (NSIndex, spoiler thread reporter, reporting false issue effects/problems, etc)
Best advice giver (pre-editing stage feedback)
Best writer of jokes
Best newcomer

Voting will continue until mid March! Yes, I extended it so everyone gets a chance to vote.
On March 15th, your votes will be counted. You can change your votes at any time before that point.

So, without further ado, on with the awards! :D

Nice idea. I might have to run some "for your consideration" ads for the issues I wrote and edited. 8)

For clarification, what do you mean by "best description"? If you are referring to the effect lines that you get after answering an issue, I agree that this would make a good category.

I think it means the opening part of an issue.

Shh, don’t do it, hit me with a tg and I nominate you.

Jutsa, weren’t we going to have some people-based awards?

Yeah but I wanted to get this out and I had no idea what to do when Ransium pinged me about it mid-January.

Important notice: Four more player-based categories have been added shortly after this post unless something goes wrong. :P

In my opinion, that sounds like a bad idea that may divide the community.

But let's see what the others think about this.

I also think this would be a bad idea. IMO, being nominated as "the worst" of anything - even if meant as a joke - may demoralise some, upset others, and will almost definitely cause division.

Meh. I doubt that anyone other than me would win worst anything, and I can take it

Naeh, we aren't going to be doing that.

So far I count two nominations (well, three, but one's a self-nomination so it doesn't count >:3)

If I have to, I can always extend the nomination period. :P

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that you can nominate more than one candidate.
(Though, to prevent this from going out of hand, you may only nominate 0-3)

Funniest issue: #813: A Little Birdie Told Me; #824: Period Drama; #756: The Issue With Issues (#862: Friends Close, Enemies Close was good but I've gotta stick with these)
Most important issue: #836: Don't Drink The Grape Punch; #740: The Enemy Within: A Day In The Life; #841: Burn Noticed
Weirdest issue: #842: @@LEADER@@ And The Chocolate Factory; #781: The White Man's Burden; #756: The Issue With Issues (If 626 came out a bit later, I'd nominate only that. :P)
Best issue opening: #727: Market Crash (I didn't take a good look at most issues, may ammend)
Best option: #727.3 (I didn't take a good look at most issues, may ammend)
Best character: Catherine Gratwick, James Bont, your brother
Best parody/reference: Elon Musk, James Bond, #842: @@LEADER@@ And The Chocolate Factory
Funniest joke: I'm drawing a blank here
Most likely to become a hit author: Me Candlewhisper Archive, Chan Island, Marsupial Illuminati
Best data informer: Trotterdam, Arceus Domains, Minoa
Best advice giver: Shwe Tu Colony, Candlewhisper Archive, Australian Republic
... What? Sometimes the simplistic questions he asks have a surprisingly significant meaning that can undermine your whole issue, 'specially with as many as he gives.
Best writer of jokes: Me Candlewhisper Archive, Ransium

Willing to amend this. Feel free to nominate stuff already nominated, if you want. :P
(ftr it was rather hard picking only three for some of these)

You should extend the period. I don't think you can find many who go through that many issues that quickly

I'll put a couple on here for now, maybe some more later:

Favorite issue: An Expensive Watch (by Candle). Don't know if this issue has been added to the game yet, or not. If not, then hurry up!!!!
Funniest issue: Same issue as above. It's my favourite cos it's the funniest!
Most important issue: A Putrid Predicament (by No. 2). There's nothing more important than banning durian!
Weirdest issue
Best description
Best option
Best character
Best parody/reference (issue or otherwise)
Funniest joke (issue or otherwise): The regiments that support different football teams being responsible for friendly-fire incidents (from An Expensive Watch).
Most likely to become a hit author: No. 2.
Best data informer (NSIndex, spoiler thread reporter, reporting false issue effects/problems, etc)
Best advice giver (pre-editing stage feedback): Candle, Shwe Tu (your orange suggestions are usually spot on) & Aussie (I agree with Jutsa here, if you read between the lines from Aussie, there are often some excellent points to ponder!).
Best writer of jokes

Thanks, Baggieland. :)

Yeah, I agree that the deadline should probably be extended. How's about until mid-February, or is that too long/still probably too short?

Oh yeah, I also have no idea who does most of the work on NS Index, so uh... I'd nominate that person / those people, as well. :P

That's a good topic, but I don't think it's eligible because this is only for 2017.

That would be Minoa.
