[SUBMITTED] Order! Order!

Postby Shwe Tu Colony » Wed Nov 29, 2017 5:41 pm

Underlined phrases are my own comments & notes & orange words are changes from the previous draft. If just the option & its number is orange, then a whole new option has been introduced.
Title: Order! Order!
Validity: Nations who lack courts.
Description: The residents in a small town of @@NAME@@ had formed a mob and executed a man for a purported murder. However, some have claimed that this tragedy had only happened due to the lack of a fair trial.

Option 1: "We can't leave justice in the people's hands like this!" states @@RANDOMNAME@@, a previous judge. "What happened here was a tragedy for justice, and one that we must resolve. @@LEADER@@, it is clear that we need proper, traditional courts, or else everyone may just use the support of mobs to harass or maybe even kill their rivals! We'll need a small tax increase if we're to support our new justice system, but it'll keep the citizens safe. Until they commit a crime, that is."
Fallout 1: courts have been reinstated (removes the policy for no courts)

Option 2: "You truly do not trust the people to bring justice?" questions a slightly suspicious-looking person in a robe and hood, standing in a dark corner. "Clearly, whoever was responsible for indirectly causing this man's death — which is not me, by the way — knew something the townsfolk did not, and used that knowledge for the greater good. For all we know, that man that was killed could have been part of a grand organization that's keeping this so-called puppet master silent. We do not need courts, @@LEADER@@; the people know how to decide for themselves."
Fallout 2: politicians use mobs to exact "justice" on their rivals

must have private industry
Option 3: "Courts too expensive? Not willing to spend so much money on justice?" queries a businessperson, sassily walking into your office. "Well have I got a solution for you! Good day, @@LEADER@@, my name is @@RANDOMNAME@@, and I'm here to give you a deal. Instead of spending the citizens' tax money on justice — and getting nothing from it, too — my company can create and manage the future courts of @@NATION@@! We'll make sure every case is resolved as quick as lightning, I promise you. Just sign here." @@HE@@ then shoves a clipboard, pen, and a stack of papers into your hands.
Fallout 3: privatized courts waste most of their time on trying to harm the rivals of their owners (removes the policy for no courts)

Might want to make option 3 only available to nations with private enterprise. :3

Acknowledged, I'll make new drafts when huge swathes of the issue are replaced.

Ha ha.

It's the national anthem of the PRC.

In english, "起来!" roughly translates to "Rise up!".

I found it funny that you used "Rise up!" instead of "bump", so I posted the PRC anthem lyrics as a joke/meme.

I like this issue. This might have already been said, but I think "we need our courts back" should be changed because there's no saying they had a justice system before.

Issue acknowledged, changed "we need our courts back" to "we need proper, formal traditional courts back."

Description: In a small town on the borders of @@NAME@@, the residents had formed a mob and executed a man for a purported murder. As it turns out, someone was instigating them to kill the man, with some claiming that this was unfair justice, for the man never got anyone — professional or ordinary — to defend him against the words of the prosecutor-like puppet master.

This is so wordy and confusing. Can you summarize what’s happening in like 1/4 of the words?

Hello again, Shwe Tu Colony. :3c

Before you submit this, I want to point out a few things,
although it's almost entirely grammar and potential fluidity. :P

The Issue:
In a small town on the borders of @@NAME@@, the residents had formed a mob and executed a man for a purported murder.
I think "The residents in a small town[...] of @@NAME@@ had formed a mob" would be smoother sounding, personally.

Option 1:
a previous judge,
period after judge
courts ...,
I think you can just dismiss the ... part.

Option 2:
a robe and hoods, standing in a dark corner,
1) period after corner
2) a robe and hoods? Not a robe and hood..? I'm honestly not sure if this is a mistake or not.
We do not need courts, @@LEADER@@, the people know how to decide for themselves."
semicolon after @@LEADER@@

Option 3:
sassily walking into your office,
Nice touch, but period after office
and manage the courts of @@NATION@@!
This sorta implies existing courts. Maybe "the future courts" would be better?
We'll make sure every case is resolved as quick as lighting,
lighting? Do you mean lightning, or do you actually mean lighting?

Also, I very much like this option - it really gives the impression of a slick, smooth-talking businessman.

That's really it - just some punctuation marks and a couple words. You're very good at this, you know. :3

Good luck, Shwe Tu! :D
