If it's not here, you could possibly even play off of it by have every speaker in your issue think it's based in a different country...
I'd have no idea how that'd work, but it'd be funny if it could be pulled off.

Only because the USA was the lead superpower at the time the League of Nations was established.

In NS, I'd probably say Maxtopia if anywhere, but likely best to avoid specifying unless we have to.

Update! Added Savoiia and West Calypso — I accidentally glossed over it, and for some reason I assumed it was Manamana until I checked it.

Also updated East Calypso. :P

What about an emerging superpower? Would that be okay?

I see no problem in principle with an issue about some new punk country going ahead and gunning it for superpower status.

Naeh that's when I created the thread. I believe we've had new nations added just last May. :^)

Savoiia, Kawandaland, and Qaanpaluk are the three that come to mind, though one of them may have appeared in April.

Oh and then West Calypso I'm pretty sure was April, maybe March

This occurred to me while I was writing the issue on fasting.

Do we have a similar thread for the cults and religions used in NS issues? If not, can we make one?

OH! Yeah! I see the confusion now!

No it's not "Sept. 14, 2017 — CURRENT" as in "the current version was last updated on Sept. 14, 2017"; it's "started on Sept. 14 2017, lived until: now"

Tbh, though, I really prefer your idea. After all, it's pretty easy to see when the first/last posts are.

My sincere apologies for that, I'll probably just ditch it since the last edit is also pretty telling of when it was last updated.

Ed: also @FuF: We do have the list of religions/cults, but I suspect you found it since I see both on the first page.

I think that instead of just highlighting Moltovea's small navy you should add that in issues they mainly function as a punching bag for @@Nation@@

But they don't. Only one speaker claims that they would be easy pickings, and that only happens in nations that have already legalized piracy. Furthermore, the effect line for that option heavily implies (though does not confirm) that the speaker is mistaken and Moltovea are not actually as easy pickings as suggested.

Well, the effect line of 878.1 together with that issue's option implies they are "a strategically inferior nation".

Are you talking about this in the context of writing an issue? If you have a specific idea, you can always pitch it in The Writer's Block.

Well, new nation names are still occasionally added in issues; if a new name is funny or meaningful enough, nothing's necessarily off the table. Don't be afraid to introduce a new nation name, though many of the established ones are constantly reused as a consistent in-joke: Blackacre's the nasty foreign adversary, the United Federation is a U.S. parody, etc. If there's a good reason to add a nation name or tribe, one can get added. For example, the Ngwane Tribe on this list was introduced in one of my nation's issues. Many of the names on this list were user-created, and added issues in the future will most certainly continue to expand this catalog.

EDIT: In summary, I guess the point is: don't worry about it. Just focus on writing a quality draft.

Feel free to write about one or more new nations if the existing ones aren't suitable for your narrative. However, we would prefer to avoid having a large number of generic, unknown nations all being introduced in the same issue. Describing one specific nation in a way that illustrates the dilemma will generally provide the best story.

Also, this:
A small nameless nation: Lead by an Emperor who calls himself "Supreme Leader for all Eternity", this small nation is under your sphere of influence, but still goes on a psychotic, genocidal rampage against the Bigtopians within their borders.
(I can't find the issue for this, and I'm convinced there are a bunch of little, annoying neighbors to your nation.)

I think it's time to point out that this particular issue is 194 (a request for military aid).
