This is a Modern-Tech nation. We only put a satellite and a man into space so far.
We are a Middle power, so if we die, so will some of the global economy.
We have the 8th largest sovereign wealth fund in the world. (RL world)
Pro: Regulations, Military, Law and Order
Anti: Freedom of speech, Discrimination, CHEWING GUM
Just so you know, I don't think like that. That stuff is roleplaying Singapore (itself, the real life nation)

Well, not overtly at any rate. All we know is that it's a tropical island nation.Jutsa wrote:Question: Is East Calypso based off of an irl nation?
If not, I may have an issue idea for it.

Hey, that could still happen. The Amazon rainforest was named so because the explorers claimed to have encountered actual female warriors there...Fauxia wrote:If it wasn’t based on Trinidad and Tobago, it would have to have an issue about @@LEADER@@ getting stuck there with a nymph

By the way, this makes East Calypso the second NPC nation to have East in its name without the West equivalent being visible anywhere. Though since we barely even know what East Calypso is like, it may be too early to start considering how West Calypso is different!

It is, partially, especially in name, however Manamana is explicitly an island nation, which Panama is not.Techolandia wrote:By the way, should Manamana be based off of Panama. I know that Panama has been used as a tax haven by people from various countries.

"Literal paradise" is relative, of course. What's an ideal utopia to one person could be seen as pretty depressing to another.Minoa wrote:In NationStates, The western side does not always have to be better – If I have the time, I plan to develop East Calypso as literal paradise, while West Calypso could be a former democracy that due to extreme populism (of no specific political position) descended into some authoritarian regime.
Early days, though.
