Will issues be reviewed and accepted/rejected into the game and the contest pool prior to the deadline or after?

In terms of nation classifications, multiple factors are taken into consideration from issues. I don't think that one issue, unless the NS team take it as an exception, would show the need for a new classification.

Here is a chart of current classifications:

I accidentally posted an issue, and checked the contest box!
I didn't know about this contest, so I just ticked the box immediately.
Is there anyway of withdrawing it?

I'd rather we just had better quality control of the existing issues. Like, refusing to crackdown on government corruption in a state where voting is illegal randomly raising my nation's political freedoms.

No. Let's not pretend that's working as intended.

Have you reported your concerns here? Were they responded to by a moderator or issue editor, someone who knows the issue system's backend? Serious questions here.
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. | Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Not the thread for this. If you are going to report it in the appropriate thread, include the nation that answered it, the issue number and lose the attitude. We're volunteers.

Will this be based on anything besides the issue submitted?
(previous issue history, warnings or bans, etc.)

From my experience, the first line of review is based around the quality of the issues submitted, then once the team have whittled their options down, they will check a few things (Can't be sure exactly what). So even if you are a newbie to Got Issues? then you may still have a shot at winning.

The idea of these contests is to get new writers in who may have otherwise stayed away from issues, as well as encouraging experienced writers. But at the end of the day, it's a contest, it's just a bit of fun!

I know I don't have a right to intervene here, but I have to second you on this one, it annoys me to see hard workers such as yourselves being treated likes robots (No pun intended, with your flag) who can instantly fix something. Plus, as I previously mentioned, the contest is just a bit of funm

Ossirian, next time, take some time to report an issue. As the saying goes, if you put effort in for others, others will put effort in for you.

NoahS SeconD CountrY wrote:previous issue history

It'll be a factor, but how it will be weighted will depend on lots of other factors. Someone who's previously had issues rejected or never had an issue accepted is certainly still capable of winning the contest, and having previously written issues successfully is no guarantee of doing well in the contest. The main thing to concentrate on is writing a good issue: that's the most important consideration, and the only one you as a user can really influence.
NoahS SeconD CountrY wrote:warnings or bans

Most of us don't have access to that information. Issues editors aren't mods, although mods can be issues editors. So, no, because I wouldn't have any idea whether the person whose issue I was editing had a history of warnings or bans.

Luna or myself do check moderation history before Editors are invited on board, but it's never been a problem yet.

Me and my friend ministerial both co-wrote this issue, I don't want to have responsibilities put on me, because effort, ahh!
But I wrote this issue for fun, but he wants to be an editor, so how will that work out?

As long as you agree that he has rights to claim that it is his issue, then he can submit it here.

If I'm wrong, please correct me.

I'm not really on the issue editing team, but letting a friend submit an issue that we can all tell that you wrote probably won't win him any points when it comes to being selected as an Issue Editor. The whole point of this contest is to see how submitting individuals handle the setup, organization, etc., of an issue. When he submits something that you already wrote ... what does that show the IE team about his abilities in this area?

Ah ok, I thought it was just a matter of handling rights as it is his content and he can use it, being able to lend it to NS for use as an issue.

Thanks for clearing this up.
