[INDEX] A nation's Ministers/Secretaries according to Issues

Postby Drachmaland » Tue Feb 16, 2016 3:42 pm

(Numbers nnn indicate Issue #nnn, xxx.y the y-th option of Issue #xxx, xxx.y/z the y-th and z-th options of Issue #xxx.
Some of the “Secretary of X” are the result of “Department of X” being stated in the respective Issues.

Aww, I could have saved you some trouble.

Here's my version. This is from searching the spoiler list for the word "minister", and includes only titles specifically including the word "minister", not other government positions.

It's not hugely useful, since they're not kept consistent from issue to issue. Titles of obviously-equivalent ministries see minor variations from issue to issue, usually boringly generic, while the jokes are better off not being reused (instead, come up with your own). I mostly just did it to track the more humorous ones (of which you missed at least one).

#011 1. High Minister of Finance, who also happens to be your brother
#021 3. Police Minister

#476 4. Minister for Democratic Reform
#480 2. Environmental Minister
#485 4. retired Defense Minister
#486 4. Minister of Alternative Solutions

What I learned from this is that ministers like third options for some reason - well, they used to, they started to diversify after a while, though 3rd options are still in the lead.

I love how the variations occur among the issues, actually. It just seems to me that it adds a level of, I dunno, historical feel. Like how the issues evolve through the ages.

This list just feels so NS-esque to me. I love it. Good work Drachmaland and Trotterdam!

Edit: I've made a suggestion to the mods to make a giant sticky for all the index threads.

Except that not really, as the options are mutually exclusive. If you have immigration, it's an Immigration Minister. If you don't, its a Border Controls Minister.

Probably not. We're discussing it backstage, but there's a balance to be struck between not filling the front page with stickies, and having easy access to useful indices.

Maybe links from the How To Write thread would work?
