Because it's not torn apart by repeated wars, terrorism, poverty, and human rights abuses, like most other NPC nations?

Not much is known about them, but the one thing that has been explicitly stated is probably a good thing, depending on your political views, and the issue specifically claims that it is working well for them.

Pretty much this. Most NPC nations are some kind of hellhole. It's refreshing to have one that's the complete opposite and a nice place to live.

IMO that's probably because friendly nations don't make very good issues. Issues are about problems and antagonism so to have international problems you need an enemy or leader antagonistic to you.
