This attitude isn't exactly desired.

If you're going to write an issue, please read through the list of existing issues so you don't duplicate one. Editing is a very laborious process and there exists a pool of about 2,000 issues we've yet to go through; simply writing up any old draft issue and throwing it into the bin creates extra work for us because it's us who have to go back through the "hundreds of issues" to see if it's already there. You doing that for us not only saves us time and effort, but you too because then you won't spend all that time writing an drafting an issue that definitely won't be accepted.
