What's your favorite color Easter egg.

So I just recieved this issue.
Does anything horrible happen if I pick anything in particular?

No - none of the Easter Eggs have large effects on anything.
Author of Issues:
#273: Is our children learning?
#310: Too Little Talk?
#315: Creative Flowers Withering Under Legislation
#324 "Tourism Tanking" Tells Tabloids
#334: Blot Out Bauhaus
#340: Defending Patent Pending
#365: A Busload of Worry

None at present

If I offer criticism on your proposed issue, I will often write in red: don't think I'm being aggressive, it's just a convention I use!
If I ask a question on a proposed issue thread, then it's because I feel it's one you need to ask of your issue: I'm being Socratic and/or lazy.

Not that I recall. It's been over a year. Every option does have an effect related to the color.

This issue can have some fairly sweeping effects on your nation, or at least the red egg can. In addition to lowering my economy by 13 points (from 81 to 68) and outlawing capitalism, it had all of these effects on my other variables. (I'm including my nation's original variables because I suspect the strength of the impact is influenced by your nation's original stats, so a nation with different policies may have different effects).

Increased Authoritarianism by 0.037 (0.022 to 0.059)
Decreased Averageness by a whopping 221 (277 to 56)
Increased Defense Forces by 5 (43 to 48)
Increased Eco-Friendliness by 5 (156 to 161)
Decreased Employment by 20 (101 to 81)
Increased Environmental Beauty by 13.75 (617.5 to 631.25)
Decreased Human Development Index by 4 (73 to 69)
Increased Ideological Radicality by 6 (16 to 22)
Increased Income Equality by 20 (107 to 127)
Decreased around half of my industries by 1 (namely, autos, beverages, furniture, mining, pizza, retail, timber, manufacturing, agriculture). Most of these industries were in the -3 to -6 range, manufacturing was at -11.
Decreased Book Publishing by 2 (1 to -1)
Increased Intelligence by 1 (27 to 28)
Increased Law Enforcement by 5 (61 to 66)
Decreased Pro-Market by 4 (10.2 to 6.2)
Decreased Obesity by 30 (-305 to -335)
Increased Pacifism by 19 (647 to 666)
Increased Public Healthcare by 5 (131 to 136)
Increased Public Transport by 5 (135 to 130)
Decreased Rudeness by 2 (-47.6 to -49.6)
Increased Safety by 11 (300.6 to 311.6)
Increased Safety from Crime by 2 (59 to 61)
Increased Tourism by 8.75 (637.5 to 646.25)
Decreased Toxicity by 6.75 (-680.5 to -687.25)
Decreased Weaponization by 3 (-162 to -165)
Increased Welfare by 5 (174 to 179)

As you can see, the effects were fairly sweeping. It basically moved my nation from social democracy to democratic socialism and affected everything connected to public services.

BTW, there's gotta be some fansite that tracks these stats for me.

Guide to Easter Egg issues (SPOILERS)

As far as I can tell, they happen randomly after your nation has met the requirements for it to appear.

For some of the issues, like the Color and I believe the Lever issues, they appeared as soon as I put 'Holy Red' in my prefix.

When I put a colour in my pretitle it took almost a week for me to get the issue.

Same with me, I had the title "Holy" for quite some time before I got it.

How come I haven't got the lever one yet? Ever since I had a billion people, I put holy in my pretitle but still I haven't got it yet. Why is this?

Getting specific issues isn't instantaneous (except on a very few of the Population driven issues). You just made the changes today. It might take several months for the issue cycle to come around again and give you the issue. Or it might happen tomorrow. I'm fairly certain there are random numbers involved.

Well, I just got "#266: Breaching the Great Fourth Wall of @@NAME@@" today, and I don't think it's just a coincidence that my population was 6.404, considering the content of the issue.

You would be wrong about that.

If I had to guess, Pizza Delivery is raised by favoring things like telemarketing and door-to-door sales. You might never get an issue about pizza explicitly, but keep an eye out on who's making their case. So the next time you get an issue about "cold calls," considering picking up.
