Regarding issue #256, I got it when I reached very high crime rates. Top 1 %, so it's properly that.

https://www.nationstates.net/nation=no_ ... ensusid=77

Possible over 80 in crime.

You get the Easter Egg issue #375 when you change your currency to "gold bar" and/or have the word "lucky" in your motto.

EDIT: Most likely is it the "gold bar"-one that changed it.

I added "gold" to my currency and "Patrick" to my leader's name

I'm rehashing this cause i just got the 'Please Sir...' EE. I'm just wondering, how? I've done nothing different lately. (that i remember anyway) But i was also wondering if it matters how you answer it? And by that i mean, has there been some peeps with different answers who had different things happen to them, or has it always been same results?

You can only find as many as there are. I think we have 10 total.

My main industries are Basket Weaving and Beverage Sales, and my Pizza Delivery industry is at an all time low (although it is still in the top 16%). I'm in the top 30% for the IT industry and only the top 45% for Scientific Advancement. Riddle me this: With these poor stats in mind, how come I got the Aliens easter egg (Issue #080)?

Your list needs to include 430, which i have received, but I don't know how
I also remember receiving 404, don't know how. It's not marked as an Easter Egg, but I think that is (don't quote me on that)

NSIndex says you need 700+ million citizens. I'll update the OP tomorrow morning, when I get access to wifi.

It isn't.

By the way, #375 is easy to get. I'm surprised that it's not mentioned in the OP. Almost all of my nations got it by changing the classification to include the word 'gold' or 'golden'. ...though come to think about it, that was in March, around Saint Patrick's Day. Maybe it's only available during that time.

Reading back in the thread, that appears to be so.

So, there's a new easter egg now. Only one confirmed sighting so far.

EDIT: Second sighting. Both have "monster" in their national animal field. That's probably not a coincidence.

They put out a call a while back.

Actually, it looks like this issue, though honestly that's kinda mundane for an easter egg (@@LEADER@@ going to a Halloween party isn't really the same as actually meeting Santa or leprechauns...).

I don't believe that was ever submitted though. Maybe the editors made a Halloween-themed one?

"Vampire", "zombie", and "ghost" in the national animal field will do the trick too, as well as "monster". Probably several other classic monsters also work.

I'm not sure what Errinundera's reason can be. Maybe the appearance of "fall" in the capital city name? (In this case probably referring to waterfalls, not autumn.) That seems like a stretch.

That doesn't work either for The Saman Empire. There's a few occurences of "drago" but without "n", and even though dragons are monsters they aren't especially classic Halloween monsters.

Wait, I got it. "Sniffer wombat" and "Dendrobate frog" both include "bat".

Issue text posted, and it's pretty clear now that the validity is based on your national animal.

Here were the effects from option 1:
+1.00 Weather (-388.00 -> -387.00)
-1.00 Culture (117.00 -> 116.00)
-0.01 Tourism (6.86 -> 6.85)
+0.36 Charmlessness (1083.11 -> 1083.47)
Ghosts are not stylish.

Actually, this is a good case study on how Culture affects Charmlessness and Tourism, given how little clutter there is. Does Culture also affect Weather...?

Yes, higher culture = worse weather.

Most of the time. I'll have to look for it, but an editor said most of the time culture worsens weather, but not all cases do.

As per Violet, weather is effected by five separate factors, one of which is culture. In my observations, the relationship between culture and weather is simple. A 1 point increase in culture creates a 1 point decrease in weather and vice-versa. The only time this relationship isn't true is when the issue simultaneously also impacts one of the four other factors which determine weather.

I found one more keyword that works, bringing the total so far to "monster", "vampire", "zombie", "ghost", "ghoul", and "bat". Most of these are undead.

I wonder if it recognizes adjectival forms that don't quite include the full spelling of the standard noun, such as "vampiric", "monstrous", and "zombified".
