Is there any issue that is too similar to the following:
-Power is out and powerlines are down, services cant reach remote parts of @@NATION@@, and people are blocked off from access to anything really.
-People debate over what to do.

I think I've had issues where the premise is similar but it isn't like a power outage, (I've also only answered like 800/1500 issues).
And no, Ctrl + F For "Power" as a search term does not work well, I've tried.

Question(s) about the non-publically-visible Digital Currency policy.

Am I correct in thinking that it tracks "your currency is exclusively digital" and hence is cancelled by #666.2 (which affirms the right to use cash)?
Follow-up, is there a policy and issue or issues for "your currency is exclusively cash" (which would then mean the lack of either flag implies mixed currency)?

This is motivated by #666.2's (presumable) dropping of the Digital Currency policy leading to an excessive drop in Scientific Advancement (nearly equivalent to WMDs), especially when it doesn't prohibit Digital Currency - just provide other options.

I can also recommend Sacara's website for when search terms are very related to an issue, but common enough in other contexts to be useless - this turns up 7 results, of which 5 are electricity-related: #69, #206, #669, #879, and #1452.

Have a look at those to see if any overlap.

I don't think so. We have issues about what kind of power sources to use (fossil vs nuclear etc.) or where to get more fuel when you're running low, but I don't recall us having anything along the lines of a city block being without power for hours because a tree fell on a power line, or similar "down for maintainance" problems.

Do keep in mind that to be a political issue, there has to be something more to it than "send technicians to fix it".

Yes, the policy specifically means exclusively-digital currency.

Widespread use of digital banking and debit cards alongside cash can probably be assumed to take place in any modern nation has hasn't banned computers.

I remember an issue draft where a sports player chose to play for another country instead of yours.

Is that an actual issue now?

Check the recent issues and see if any have a similar title.

Nope. They are still drafts but not being worked on at the moment, one of which is on my Paris Saint-Germain puppet nation. If you're referring to the one with the Olympian choosing to represent another country, then that's Baggieland's draft.

I'm referring to the one with the Olympian. Thank you.

For official clarity purposes, will either format of macro be accepted by the editors in submitted draft issues? (I know I've seen macros with nonstandard names, such as @@LASTNAME@@ or @@LASTNAMERANDOM@@, in the past - but never with underscores.)

As long as we can understand the intent, I don't think it will be a problem.

Ahh, right, that one! So sorry for reviving the nearly month-old thing, but that is still a TODO, so thankfully I have not went through with it yet.

Apologies for not asking the Admin and Issue Editors team on whether or not this would be fine with you all. ^^;

Any issues specifically about socialist nations lacking universal healthcare, even though the two are sort of connected? I've researched the issues list and just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Thanks for any help or guidance!

I checked the issues list and saw nothing of the sort. This seems like a wonderful idea and I would love to help you with it!

I have an issue idea. Its about a shortage of seed banks (basically seed storage, in case a drought or wildfire happens and theres no plants remaining in the area). I know the idea isn't taken, but I would like an opinion on the options offered.

The first option is an AY for seed banks.

The second option suggests to fund a global seed bank along with other nations and rely on it (instead of multiple seed banks on a national level).

The third option basically dismisses the issue and pretends it doesn't exist. It could also argue that "we need money banks, not seed banks".

So, GI, what do you think?

Is there an issue that reverses the Geronticide policy? I apparently selected it early the week of October 5, 2020 (https://www.nationstates.net/nation=sie ... ensusid=44), thinking it'd be done to those, like, 85 and up, but apparently I'm whacking people in their early 60s! Yes, yes, be careful what options you select, unintended consequences, I know the drill :p .

But is there?

According to this handy guide, you've got three options for removing that policy. Best of luck

Issue #339 ("The Bear Necessities") shouldn't eliminate sortition. Sortition governments ARE democratically controlled. They offer the public the chance to be represented directly, and unlike other forms of democracy they don't interrupt free access by political double-dealing OR "for their own good" paternalistic agreements.

Wrong thread for raising complaints about current issues.

Ayy yeah that's a complicated issue lol. I tried writing for it a couple times but I just haven't had the time (much less the desire) to work on issues lately.

Feel free to take a gander at the thread to see what others had to say on the idea. :) https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=489105

Cool, thanks for the link! My take on the issue seems a little different but this will help a lot

First of all, the forum doesn't filter out posts based on region.
Second of all, Dexterra literally made a post 6 hours ago. And I live in EST.

You don't really need to bump a sticky. As the name implies, it's stuck to the top of the forum.
