Any issues about the legality of mail-order brides? (Or grooms for that matter)?

#1333 doesn't mention mail-order brides directly, but it does address the kind of situation that tends to motivate them. If you have a different angle, I think you're safe.

Is there an issue about fairs/parades/festivals?
The low attendance rates of them and how/whether or not to boost those rates

There definitely are, with the most prominent being #581. Parades such as military ones are covered in other issues and festivals are also covered as well.

Are there issues about water conservation and rationing during droughts?

What about the legality of physically disciplining children?

None specifically about robot soldiers but it is an option in this one.

the links for rationing are the same, so I’m not sure if it’s been done, but I was thinking of an issue about whether or not rationing should be done and alternatives.

thanks. I was also going to discuss things like desalination, but there might be too much overlap. what exactly is the threshold for something being different enough?

alright, there have been 26 views on this topic that weren’t me.

I can’t find any issues about the topic of AI lifespans, but I don’t know what the best way to search the issues is. I guess I’ll start drafting, then.

Keywords to search for your issue could be "AI" (advanced tip: search for " AI " with spaces to avoid matching stuff like "abstain"), "lifespan" or "program" (note that this will also cover "programed" and "programmed"). A non-overlapping problem you might run into is #1241, which asks about AI mortality in terms of the death penalty. You could probably write around that, though, AI lifespan is a fairly interesting issue topic.

Setting your search to case-sensitive will work even better, since it'll also catch related words like "AIs".

Is there an issue discussing whether or not planting flags counts as claiming land?
Or what about being able to duel in order to claim a position (like challenging a minister for his job)? I know there’s one about dueling, but this could build off it and is a bit different.

Regarding your first question, in fairness this is the closest issue we have, although I suspect it'll remain that way given I'm not sure how much more of an issue you can make out of that: https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=88&start=50#980

Regarding your second question - uh, actually, that's a good question lol. Dueling for disputes is the gist of dueling, but dueling over more trivial matters... that could be something to work with. :) (Not a guarantee it'll work, but it might ;p)
You're welcome to telegram me any questions you have of the game. Unless I've CTE'd (ceased to exist) - then you physically can't do that.

Dueling for trivial matters is trivial and you would have to frame it in a way that makes it worthy of a national issue.

is this still open? I’m assuming it isn’t, but I just want to be sure.

You're right to double check, we have a reversal for that (1478).

Technically, that's not a reversal issue, so feel free to write one if you would like.
