Another one is a gang of kids in hoodies trying to overtake the government.

I was thinking of having a neutral option, a vegan option and a meat option.
Pepperoni is basically meat.
And it would go something like this for the vegan option :
In walks well know vegan rights group CEO @@RANDOMNAME@@
"I dont know about you, but pineapple on pizza is far better than pepperoni on pizza, its extra crunchy, it explodes like a bomb in your mouth, its just outright beutiful." @@RANDOMNAME@@ hits the table and looks at you. "But pepperoni on the other hand! Thats so lame and boring! i suggest we ban meat products on pizza, surely @@COUNTRY@@ is way more civilized than eating these pieces of garbag-" he gets interrupted by a slap in the face.

Option for the meat eater :

"Oh shut up!" Says CEO @@RANDOMNAME@@ of the 'Meat Or Heat' party. "You don't even have the will to touch pepperoni for one second! What do you mean on the other hand? But anyways, i feel like any kind of vegan option on pizza should be illegal, pineapple sucks more than my grandma's cookies! Mushrooms are bound to kill you- You know what. How about we make it illegal to even eat vegan meals!

I suggest reading the stickied guide first. Why would this be an issue of national significance? To me, the premise a little thin that doesn't really explore much other than what kind of topping should be on pizza.

If I could make a polite request, please keep all of the effect lines to yourself for a month or so (unless you have received it after choosing an option). That goes for anyone who tracks effect lines using API. I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone.

I was thinking of a message being spread by extremist groups. Something extremely anti-@@DEMONYM@@, like a racist political movement having a major influence and convincing citizens to avoid/distance themselves from @@DEMONYMPLURAL@@, mainly through the use of stereotyping them, and influencing young people.

Not really that much.

I just have an automated program that spends way too much time looking at the game, and alerts me when it sees something interesting.

Lets me get all the benefits of spending way too much time myself while taking up a surprisingly small amount of my day

...Then again, from what I recall writing the program took around a month, so maybe that counts as way too much time. Fun fact: I think I spent more time working on the user interface than I did on the core logic. I spent a lot time making it easy to use so I don't have to spend a lot of time later.

Reminds me of a story of a friend of mine. I spent about four hours knocking together a pbEM rules set for people to fight bouts of kung fu against each other. He liked the game design, but said it should be automated. I said I didn't know how to do that.

We finished playing the pBEM about 2 months later.

About 4 months after that, he reveals that for 6 months he's been coding, and now the automated simulator is up and running. I pointed out he was WAY more into the game than I was, so as far as I was concerned, it was now his!

Was wondering if the idea was silly or if it would be something feasible.

No, but there’s issues about the ethics of eating meat in general. Since the game can’t tell national religions apart that seems difficult to do.

I hate to say it, but I think the problem with that one is that it’s a violation of player autonomy to assume a leader has a secret identity.
