I've actually got one waiting in my back wings... maybe I should post it while I work on some of the others.

Would an issue for socialist nations about what kind of art to sell be an interesting issue idea?

Make and sell, really. An option could hypothetically allow the creation of some art but forbid the selling of it.

Course, such an option could not be an option 3 "compromise" and would probably be a better option 1.

Whether the government there should promote innovation -- and thus help to bring in foreign 'hard' currency -- by letting inventors have some of the money raised by selling (or licencing production of) their inventions abroad? (I seem to recall reading that Hungary, which admittedly didn't have the most 'communist' government out of the Comecon nations by that point, was relatively generous to Rubik...)

I know that there are issues concerning other nations becoming aggressively anti-YN, but I was thinking of something more along the lines of Yugoslavia attempting to leave the Soviet sphere instead of just "this nation is starting to dislike you more".

I know that there are issues concerning other nations becoming aggressively anti-YN, but I was thinking of something more along the lines of Yugoslavia attempting to leave the Soviet sphere instead of just "this nation is starting to dislike you more".

We have issues where part of your nation wants you out of their hair -- wants to secede, wants more local autonomy, etc. Having it be a satellite country instead of a province isn't different enough to feel fresh, at least for me.

There are a handful where the government of a friendly country seems like it will change, in a way that won't be good for your international influence, but none with a quite explicit puppet nation. You'd have to think about all of the ones about secession in order to get something sufficiently different though.

lol, yes, that sounds good.

An issue about gambling outside of the nation has been proposed before, and I personally feel that would better be
an issue about breaking the law in general outside of your nation and in another.
However, I do think this one's circumstances are unique enough to be warranted it being specifically for gambling.
(Or possibly booze, but still, gambling works)
