Noted, but it's one thing we're very aware of needing to be unbiased on, as Forest seems to be the home of so many folk interested in Issues Writing. General rule is that if at all possible, an Editor unaffiliated with a potentiate's home region must run the new editor trial.

Of course, in actuality it's mostly the other way round that things work. Editors (myself included) have moved to Forest to hang out with other editors. I was in 10,000 Islands when I was added to the team.

It has been a fascinating transformation. I remember I was already into issues (and had written at least 5 that were implemented) when I left my little spy account into that nice but potential adversary region. Then Den collapsed, my main went to the Rejected Realms and the rest is history. Being in Forest just encourages you to keep giving to the game. I've enjoyed watching the editors and writers congregate.

Me. Sorry for being so inactive for the past few weeks, but it's the holidays for me now so I'm basically enjoying it and only coming back to NS to answer issues. I'm currently working on a draft that's about eating and drinking on public transport.

Edit: And while I'm here, I would like to congratulate Frieden-und Freudenland for becoming an issue editor. I hope that you will have fun!

Not for Forest though. Sometimes we spend weeks agonising over whether to open an embassy with someone or not. Having an embassy practically means you're one of us as it is!

I have five open draft threads right now, with only three I’m actively updating. I just feel like I’d be covering something similar with that idea, so I’ll put it on the back burner for awhile.

Do we have an issue about marine life going endangered or even extinct due to fishing nets?

We have some issues about overhunting and such, but I don't think we have one that's specifically about bycatch.

I think that could work since it's less about overfishing and more about accidentally getting other animals. I'll at least keep it in my list of things to potentially write about. :)

Thank you, Trot~

That seems like a very strange issue to bring before a nation's leader.

Overflow of Shrimp (too strange)

It's actually not.

"Hey Madam President, there is a massive overpopulation of shrimp in Maine and it is upsetting the balance of the ecosystem there."

Suddenly not so out there.

Yeah, if the shrimp are crowding out the lobsters or something, that would be a major problem -- not only for the local ecosystem off the coast of Maine, but also for lobster lovers, restauranteurs, and other sources of lobsters. If you're not getting lobsters from Maine, you have to get them somewhere else, which creates a risk of overfishing.
