Is there an issue about whether fines should be calculated by income or a flat rate. I.e. should everyone recieve the same fine for going 10 km/h over the limit, or should the fine be calculated based on one's income?

Do we have an issue covering the collapse of a fishery? I am thinking something past the point of no return, where the options are protecting other fisheries, subsidizing other industries(?) and a silly 3rd that is basically stocking the fishery only to let them be fished out again.

Second one I am not quite as sure what direction I would go. Either what I said, presented as a way to create new jobs, something exploitive where you start a campaign to encourage people to eat other kinds of fish that farmers can fish there (and you know, not put protections in place to prevent the same thing from happening), or a free market no subsidies or aid, under adversity if they really care to work they will figure out what to do.

That definitely rings a bell. I think came up in the context of parking fines.

Is absolute primogeniture mutually exculsive with patriarchy/matriarchy?

Absolute primogeniture - Activated in 596, if you choose to have the eldest child inherit the throne regardless of gender. Cannot currently be reversed. Medium priority: Reversal issue needed please.
Of note on this, this is tricky to write as for technical reasons you cannot refer to, change or know:
1) Whether the nation currently is ruled by a male or female monarch
2) The gender of the heir apparent
3) Whether the nation is ruled by the monarch, or whether its a constitutional monarchy.
4) Whether or not @@LEADER@@ is the monarch.

To be clear, the game does not track whether you have a male or female monarch.

I know #596 pretends it does. #596 lies.

So... I came up with a concept for the reversal of the absolute primogeniture and I want to check if it's worth to mature it further:

As the General @@DENONYM@@ Diet has been called, there has been an overwhelming male majority. Ultra-conservative politicians are now asking if this isn't proof that kings are preferable to queens.

I took the General @@DENONYM@@ Diet from the imperial diet during the holy roman empire and the Estate General during the French monarchy. Both should cover any type of Monarchy.

Ah well, I was hoping the crisis of a collapse would be different enough from a mere decline, but if you think it is too similar I will not bother with it.

Conserative Morality wrote:"It's not time yet" is a tactic used by reactionaries in every era. "It's not time for democracy, it's not time for capitalism, it's not time for emancipation." Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

Do you think an issue on how the wives and children of fundamentalist terrorists should be treated would be viable?
