Allowed, but unlikely to be published.

One of the things we aim for in issues is staying power with the humour. Even the Pokemon Go issue was hotly debated, as there was a feeling amongst some that this phenomenon was a passing fad, and that in five years time would be irrelevant. However, eventually the issue made it on the basis that Pokemon itself has proved to have cultural significance and staying power, so the references will likely still be comprehensible.

Covfefe, on the other hand, is clearly a passing thing. While I suspect we will not be forgetting Trump for a long time, the memes around that inane twitter post are already dying down, and even at its peak, nine out of ten people would have had no idea what you were talking about when referencing it. In five years time, no-one will care about covfefe.

I still have no clue what "covfefe" is other than it's some kind of meme. I don't know what the meme is about, probably wouldn't recognize it if I saw it.

Trump ended one of his many late night tweets with the non word 'covfefe'. If anyone else did it, no one would have cared, but apparently, we are trying to overdose on Trump.

Are there any issues about stupid election campaign gimmicks like using sexualized photos to appeal to voters of the opposite sex?

I think it may be similar to existing issues because we've already had so many about the election process, but I was brainstorming in the shower and I really want to write an issue with politicians named Tulsi Haggard (a cross between Merle Haggard and Tulsi Gabbard) and Lisbeth Warren (Elizabeth Warren x Lisbeth Salander) who get into crazy antics when Congress is not in session.

The premise of that issue is different enough I don't see it as a duplication problem.

Chaining my issue to option 4 would require making the range of campaign gimmicks more limited than what I had in mind. I think a follow-up to that might be fun, but some of the material I was brainstorming would not fit.
