Mind you, if your first draft was a year ago and you want to open it back up with a significant new draft, a new thread is OK. Posting a new thread for every minor set of changes, not so good.

Woops, I interpreted "separate drafts" as "drafts of separate issues", not separate drafts of the same issue.

Eep, sorry, "drafts of separate issues" is what I meant.

Each issue should get its own thread, yes.

Is there any potential for an issue on circumcision or would it be too sensitive for this game? I thought about writing one, since we had a heated discussion about it in Germany last year.

If one is written, we'll consider it.

We have issues regarding intersexuality, polygamy, and incest so I'm sure, in principle, there wouldn't be much objection to the addition of a well-executed issue on circumcision.

Would there be any interest in restarting the IRC channel? I'd be there whenever I got on and I'd be willing to share some ideas for issues I don't have time to write to dedicated and skilled authors.

There was very little interest last time around - it eventually became a place where only the Editing Team hung out and gossiped, which we can do in our private forum anyway.

This isn't necessarily a no, but it's unlikely to happen. If you can show us there'd be interest and that it' be used, we might be open to the idea.

It's been a while since I've been here, but I was wondering if there could be room for an issue regarding the "Affluenza defense". Something about a spoiled rich kid getting away with his crimes because his parents never taught him right from wrong and potentially creating a two-tier justice system.

If you can somehow turn it into a national issue, why not? I'm not saying it will be accepted, but you can surely give it a shot.

Right. This is a forum for discussing issues. Please read the pinned threads in future. Discussion of novels would go in Arts & Fiction.

It's quite clearly not for discussing novels. This threadjack ends now.

I must have looked over that. Sorry. Also, I wasn't jacking the thread.

Have a nice day

I'm working on an issue on (train) suicides and how to reduce or prevent them. Do you think this could work? I'm going to post a draft later.

I'm almost certain I've seen something like this already. Could be in the pool or in the Got Issues? forum. Something about making train stations cheerier and brighter places to discourage suicide-by-train.

Okay, I think I can check this forum for similar issues, as long as it isn't actually too different or a very similar issue you already refused.

The first option would be to fence in all railroads, the second to build suicide booths and the third/fourth to ban all trains.

It was posted on the forum, I remember commenting on it. It isn't in game or currently being edited so I'd say the topic is still up for grabs.

It's this, right? I see potential to add some new elements or to cover this from a slightly different perspective. I'm just not quite sure whether I should refer to a certain type of suicide (by train) or if this wouldn't be too specific. Anyway, time to finish the draft.

I submitted an issue a long while ago and was wondering a) if it's been tossed yet :p b) how long issues processing is taking nowadays, since I was thinking about trying my hand at another one if my previous try was rejected. It's something I've always wanted to do.

Cheers.

There's still 2000 odd issues we have to sort the good and bad from, and a cursory glance tells me the oldest of them are in and around the 2013 area (though there's a few from before that), so if your issue was submitted in 2013 sometime, we're probably only getting to it now.
