Is #557 2 appropiate on communist nations? It mentions a business.

Changed to manufactory. There's still mention of "checking your stock portfolio", but I suspect that higher ups in many socialist nations still have stock portfolios...

#252, option 2:

Except that the chances of a fall of this magnitude occurring twice in the same area are miniscule at worst.

Shouldn't that be "miniscule at best?" As in, even under the conditions best promoting another disaster of this sort, the odds of it happening again are miniscule.

Heh, good question. Depends which way you are using best/worst, doesn't it?

If you are talking about the best odds being a larger chance than the worst odds, where better = larger magnitude, then sure, best would be right.

On the other hand, if your'e talking about worst being the worst possible outcome, then higher probabilities would be a worse outcome, so worst would be right.

As it's delightfully ambiguous, and as it's within character-spoken text, I don't think a change is needed.

I guess I read the sentence such that "chances" is it's primary subject:

Except that the chances of a fall of this magnitude occurring twice in the same area are miniscule at worst.

And thus we'd go with "best."

I suppose it's not a big deal, even if, as is, it reads like nails on a chalkboard to me. My problem I guess. :)

Issue 303 - Digital Revolution Requires Re-Evaluation

Option 2
“Why should everyone else pay the price for bad parenting?” bellows libertarian and free speech advocate Michael Fields. “This government needs to get out of the business of designating what we can and cannot watch. The free market will adapt to the needs of the buyers, leaving parents to do their jobs and monitor what their kids watch. I paid good money for my TV - let ME choose what I want to see!”

Only notifying that socialist nations do get this option as well.

Yeah, that issue was one of those in need of a serious review. Done it early, and should work better now, on multiple levels.

Hey, I was wondering about the issue "Carbon Copied" because someone in technical posted about it - more specifically:
There's another issue I received today ("Carbon Copied") that involved a company wanting to kidnap people to do brain research... but there was poor grammar in it. Perhaps that needs a checkup and amendment too?

I didn't see much of a problem there, myself, even if it is very strange,
but I have to ask...

Leading company in genetic modification and bio-mapping, Interstice Laboratories, claim
Shouldn't that be claims?

If it was already changed, I'll gladly update my list, but I honestly don't know if it even should be or not.

The first option in issue 638 needs a quote mark on the end.

I just received the Issue #601

Notorious gangster Johnny ‘Stab-Stab’ Quayle was recently found ‘not guilty’ on multiple charges leveled against him, despite a broad expectation from citizens and the media that he would be convicted. Experts are saying that the surprising result was the consequence of Johnny hiring the very best private defence lawyers, while the prosecution was led by an inexperienced and overworked public prosecutor who was so tired he could barely keep his eyes open through the case.

This just couldn't happen, because I already forbidden people from having private defendant.

Say guys, I have listed in the spoilers list that every option for issue #201 (the pirate one) that option 3's not available to nations without private industry,
but all of the other options are. Meanwhile NS Index doesn't make any mention of this.

Now, I have another question. Option 4 says this:
4. we active redistributors serve an important role in the global economy. You would not keep a family-run bookstore from handing down its business from generation to generation, would you?

Wouldn't this also be only available for nations with private industry?

And, if so... then wouldn't that leave the issue with just two options for state-run economies - neither of which legalize piracy? :P

I apologize if everything's alright and I'm just missing something, but I wanted to ask it, just in case.

I just got 216.3 on a nation that doesn’t have private industry. That doesn’t make sense, as nations that have outlawed private industry can’t use eminent domain for it.

We don't keep track of every single aspect of every choice you make, we'd go crazy trying to do so. In this case, private defense lawyers are beyond the level of detail we track (for now). Incidentally, I moved your other inquiry to the unusual issue effects thread and answered it here: viewtopic.php?p=33140525#p33140525

I think this is a US versus UK grammar thing.

I think you're right. I seem to remember that while US English addresses groups as a single entity, UK English addresses them as multiple individuals.
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. | Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Strictly speaking, there are times Americans are supposed to use the plural. For example:

“The team is playing.”
But when they act differently, you use plural.
“The team are arguing with each other.”

It sounds really foreign, but it’s correct, I do believe.
