New to this, never done it before.

I found a textual error in an issue called ‘Privacy concerns reaching new heights’.

In the introduction the claimant is a woman who talks about ‘his daughter’.

There is a duplicated name in answers one and two ‘Wendy Lui’.

Is this the right place to bring this up?

Thought I fixed that. Fixed for real now.

#773 1 talks about campaigns. Is this appropiate for dictatorships? (I guess PR campaigns are a thing even if you don't need to stand for election.)

Good point. I think that the language is ambiguous enough not to require democracy. As you say, even in the absence of elections there will be government media campaigns to boost popular support.

Hello, I am new here, and I have a question:

I recently addressed an issue about robots. There were 3 or 4 solutions proposed: 1 advocating the mass production of more robots, 1 advocating the production of sex robots, 1 placing restrictions on the production of robots, and...possibly one other one. I chose the solution placing restrictions on robot production.

My consequence was that my nation no longer has the automobile or any wheeled vehicles, we no longer have computers or the internet, we are now renowned for our "fear of technology", we are now ranked "most primitive", and we have "reverted back to an agrarian society after anything more advanced than the wheel was banned". Um...excuse me... I just voted to restrict robot production. Isn't this a bit drastic?!

Thank you.

This is this option you selected
"Robots... bah humbug!" sighs retiree @@RANDOMMALENAME@@ from his favorite park bench right outside your office. "We didn't need no newfangled robots when I was your age! We did all the hard work ourselves." He launches into a tirade of anecdotes and war stories, pausing only to feed some pigeons. Eventually, as you are about to leave, he gets to the point. "Anyways, if you want to be strong and sharp like my generation you young'uns need to eat your spinach and ban all those machines and technologies that are making you fat, lazy, and completely dependent!"

Just read the options more carefully next time, you should be able to get your nation back in shape after a bit of work :)

Can we please change the effect line for Option 2 in #866, “O Medication, Where Art Thou?” Cooking with water and baking soda clearly is a process, not a work of authorship, and so it is more correct to say “patent infringement” than “copyright infringement.”
I’m mostly here for... something to do, I suppose.

459.2:
“Lies, all lies!” your young secretary Miss O’Hara hisses aggressively at Col. Custard. “He was no friend of yours, or those polluting Book Publishing facilities you have set up everywhere. He was a tender soul, and our love made him a new man; yes, with such a big heart, no wonder the old man had so much blood in him! He was going to propose cutting every one of those subsidies propping up your business, and you knew it!” O’Hara turns back to face you with crocodile tears forming in her eyes. “Emperor Xaranas IV, I demand you have that greedy phoney arrested, and then convert his corporate holdings into a series of national parks! It’s what my love would’ve wanted.”

Polluting Book Publishing facilities? I think I got Tourism once before too. Maybe the choice of industries should be limited for this issue.

It may not be literal, Merni.

Not sure, but I think the penultimate sentence on 576.3 should end in a semicolon, though having two semicolons in a row isn’t nice

Hey, tourists hog resources, defecate, pollute the air with their exhaling carbon dioxide, throw trash on the ground unless it's illegal,
snap pictures and chatter to produce light and sound pollution, and lets not even begin to talk about the... *shivers* gift shops.

Book publishing, on the other hand?

Yeah, mostly just some really dirty books.

Description in 648- there should be a comma after “work” in the first sentence, methinks.

Eh, could go either way. Boxing off dependent clauses is generally good comma use though, so I'll make the change.

This is the thread for mistakes in current issues that are language-based.

The last quote mark in issue #811 is "smartified" wrong. Also, can you replace the hyphen with an actual em dash? (have mine—or just use "—")
INTP, -4.25 Economic Left/Right, -4.1 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian, tastes like chicken.

"Get Baked", right? I'm not seeing any smart quotes...

No, got it. It's a programming thing, looks like. A quote mark after a hyphen is treated as an opening quote mark by the autoformatting. Changed it to an ellipsis and works now.

minor issue but i keep seeing this and i guess nobody else cared to bring it up, but a lot of older issues have instances of sentences of dialogue separated from narration by period.
eg. "This writer doesn't quite understand punctuation." says a poorly narrated person.

#056, #078, #123, #186, #260, #299, #319
guessing none of these have been fixed since
