For #159, option 1 seems to imply that the "slavery" policy should be enacted for it, given the flavor text "hundreds of thousands of convicts work as slaves in @@NAME@@'s many privately-owned prisons." yet it does not add such a policy when chosen.

Adding to that, we need more issues that remove the "No Prisons" policy, given I clicked on option 2, thinking it would only add corporate punishment... But it also added "No Prisons" as well.
(Granted, I was using http://www.mwq.dds.nl/ns/results/ for figuring out what each choice does, it seems I skipped over the "No Prisons" policy being added. So that's on me. Partially.)

The slavery policy means that human ownership is legal, as opposed to people being forced to work as punishment for their crimes. In this effect line, "slaves" is more of a figure of speech.

In #578's opening and second option, the "Hell-@@ANIMAL@@" looks awkward if your animal is multiple words. The additional words at the very least need to be capitalized, but if you can wrangle the coding, it would be even better if the spaces were replaced with hyphens, or the field was truncated to only the last word.

in #47, option 3:
“Hold on there, hold on people!” says @@RANDOMNAME@@ of the @@NAME@@ Broadcasting company. “We don’t have to take either extreme, all we have to do is make a TV game show out of it! We put deadly obstacles on the border and monitor it with television cameras! Those that make it across win freedom and citizenship, and those who don’t, well, let’s just say that our buzzards won’t starve. We could call it ‘Who Wants to be an Immigrant?’!”

perhaps capitalising "Company" and "Be" would look better

Issue 1'043, option 3
“The problem isn’t that your niece has already had help, nor that no-one appreciates her... ahem... creativity,” coughs designer Yvette Saint-Marie, who sports a tasteful monochrome dress, as she sits and crosses her ankles demurely. “It’s that those monstrosities are so very frightful that no-one in their right mind would buy them, or accept them as a gift, or even give them to an enemy as a mean-spirited joke. There’s no point in throwing good money after bad, but that doesn’t mean that other people should not be aided. A governmental hardship fund should subsidise aspirational entrepreneurs with genuine artistic merit.”

Bearing in mind the issue's first option, I'm fairly sure that that should be "hasn't already had help" rather than "has already had help" here.

Hi, this isn't so much a complaint as an inquiry, just because I could see it being intentional. So with regards to issue 217 option 3, it mentions this:
"If people had to pay a rate of NHS tax based on such factors as nicotine and alcohol intake, [...]"

So, I should note that my nation prohibits drinking (and smoking, though I could see nicotine patches being a thing). Is this an oversight, or is it able to be sort-of shrugged off as it's not explicitly saying smoking/drinking and can also imply illicit activity?

I received issue #1044 "OK Stupid" which tell that I have uneducated ministries and politicians even if I have very high intelligence and very low ignorance. I received this issue even when I had very high Public Education.
Choice 2 also says that my nation "is a vast cesspool of cultural stupidity" with "crystals, specters, charlatans, religious superstition", while I have very low Primitiveness and Religiousness.
I know it's still possible that incompetent politicians exist and I can just dismiss the issue, but it's very annoying to receive insults to your nations after you work hard to improve good stats.

Issue 897, "The Devil's Playground", makes references to vehicles when my nation has banned automobiles (and aircraft).

she plasters every available surface of your vehicle with My God Loves Me bumper stickers

She runs out of space to place bumper stickers and starts hanging garlic cloves from your rearview mirror.

“It’s sad,” mumbles your niece, clambering into your vehicle.

A vehicle could be a carriage, although those are less likely to have rearview mirrors.

I've received #145: Hackles Raised Over Fur Clothes Debate, despite mandating vegetarianism and having the "No Zoos" policy, which outlaws keeping animals in confinements. I don't think nations with either of these policies, let alone both, should be eligible for this issue.

I agree - but we currently have no way of modifying or truncating the custom fields in that manner (aside from adjusting the capitalization, which I did change). Furthermore, people are free to change their own custom fields if they don't like the way they appear in issues.

This seems stylistic, not an objective error. I'm going to defer to the original editor and not make any changes.

I could see this as being past nicotine and alcohol intake (before any ban), which could still affect a person's health in the present day.

Even nations with a highly educated populace can elect stupid people. I could provide plenty of examples.
However, I did adjust the issue so that nations with a very intelligent population won't receive it.

As Trotterdam says, this could be a non-motorized vehicle.

I added a food quality check to this issue. We didn't have that stat when the issue was originally added.

I agree that it's unlikely. However, those policies don't explicitly outlaw clothing made from animals. Feel free to dismiss the issue if it doesn't make sense to you.

Issue 94 ("Computer Users Fed Up With Heaps of Spam!") seems like it could use some fixes. I've received this issue in this nation, which has the Socialism and Autocracy policies. Now, strictly speaking, I guess spam can exist in non-market economies, but the text of the options seems to assume the opposite:

“A ban on all spam is a restriction on our freedom of speech and on the freedom of the press!” screams Stella Abbott, president of Citizens for Internet Freedom. “What is the government to say what is and isn’t commercial spam? Could they haul charity representatives off to jail for seeking donations? Could they jail politicians for using email to try and gain votes? Could they arrest me if I accidentally send my erotic novel-in-progress to the wrong address? Seriously, spamming is a subjective offense and as such should not be considered a crime.”

I get that the speaker is talking about a hypothetical situation, but it still seems out of place given how these two scenarios would not occur in my nation.

“Both sides are wrong,” grumbles government paper-pusher Belinda Fox. “Spam is definitely a problem, yet so is the restriction on freedoms which some draconian anti-spam codes would impose. I propose a ban on overtly fraudulent spam, and a tax on more legitimate businesses that rely on spam as an advertising method, and a strict legal definition of spam that would ensure no innocent person was prosecuted or taxed.”

This option is presumably a more borderline case, though.

EDIT: To avoid a double post, guess I'll add a second report here too. Again, I've received this issue (#457) in this nation under the same conditions, and the premise just seems strange for a Socialist nation:
After a slow news week, one of your aides brought to your attention the controversy surrounding Violetstone National Park. Well-known information technology tycoon Edward Rump recently revealed proposals to purchase the land and intends to carve the faces of former leaders into Mount Rushless, a site revered by many Native Aryaxians.

My question is, how? For one, Mr. Rump here has to be a foreigner if he's a tycoon, as there is no private enterprise in Aryax. But even then, how can he purchase the land in a nation with no private land ownership?

This isn't actually an error in an issue but an error regarding one of the random names that can be applied to issues:
I got the issue This Green and Pleasant Land (Issue No. 630) and the random name I got in option 1 is 'Patrick vonBismarck' with no space between the 'von' and 'Bismarck'.

I know it sounds like I’m creating more problems here, but we need more issues that allow nations to repeal past laws. For example, ever since banning contact sports in one of my other nations, I wanted to repeal the ban, but never got the chance to do so

Jujutsu is primarily a self-defense skill, not a sport. It's possible for people to learn it for practical purposes without holding competitions.

Although the "ju(-)jutsu" spelling is more accurate to the Japanese pronounciation, "ju(-)jitsu" is also widely used in English, having gained popularity before Japanese transliteration was standardized. Mostly this is because the so-called "u" sound in Japanese isn't exactly analogous to either the "u" or "i" sound in English, but rather is a sound that doesn't exist in English, so different hearers may disagree on which English sound is the "closest match".

#603's first speaker is drunk on scotch, despite alcohol being banned. I get he's supposed to be degenerate, but it's kinda hard to advocate for legal retribution when you're doing something obviously illegal. :P
(Then again, maybe he's just holding an empty bottle he borrowed from someone while on a recent vacation outside the nation and is currently suffering an intense stomach flu he acquired from said vacation. Who knows.)

That said, can I just say what a beautifully written issue this is. Somehow I have never even seen it before... and I'm glad I did. :)

Answer 3 to issue n. 60 increased Crime, while it supports civil rights for gay people. Maybe it is a misconception releted to the "freedom to commit crime" that was already deleted in World Census Ranking-

If I had to guess it's the "right to privacy part" which would interfere with government surveillance and intelligence collecting.

Answer 2 to issue number 52 gives you Prudism, despite the issue never dealing with clothing, only art.
Tired of having to say this: The Kingdom of Voidstania is not a kingdom. It is a communist dictatorship with a weak democratic senate under the guise of a monarchy. Normal country stuff.

Also, NS stats and policies are not canon (Because I have a tendency to click the wrong options and give myself dumb policies)

Prudism is related to having a low nudity score; censoring the art probably decreased your score enough for it to register.
