This option now provides an appropriate boost to the patriotism stat.
However, for future reference, this thread here is the proper one for reporting stat problems.

I was wondering if the first instance of WA in the description could be changed to "World Assembly (WA)", simply because I'm not so sure everyone who gets the issue would really understand what "WA" means until they read it in option 2.

How exactly is a “sinister cult” able to operate in a nation with a large and well-funded police force, as well as, generally, a very low crime rate? Moreover than that, my compliance rate is within 1% of world, and as such I doubt that anyone would even think of joining such a cult, let alone allowing them to take positions of power. I believe that crime rate also includes organized crime, and as such the mere existence of such an organization seems somewhat absurd…

A recent poll of the population has revealed that patriotism is at an all-time low.

Jutsa wrote:Hey, so I just got issue #484, Patriot or Patri-not. It opens with this line:A recent poll of the population has revealed that patriotism is at an all-time low.
Here's the thing: my patriotism is at an all-time high (jumped from bottom 10% to top 40%). Does this opening still work with the new patriotism stat?
edit: Or, at the very least, require a low patriotism stat?

I can assume I may have gotten it on the basis of this nation's high religiousness stat, but the wording of option 3 being from my nation's 'Minister for Holy Wars' and 'the We must show these West Fedorians that they can’t mess with a major religion' line seems to imply that the issue is meant to be for nations that do have national religions set and not just a high religiousness level?

It's reported in the spoiler thread as such, and it seems unlikely to me that whoever reported it way back when changed that over as part of the reporting. Sorry for the time-waste if it turns out the official copy is fine.

Now the problem here is that average lifespan in Laka is 94 years- and I don’t think that merely crossing the half of your expected lifespan means that you’ve “got just a couple of years to live”.

Egyptian Gold Car wrote:Issue #30 always felt weird when I received it (on this nation and others). This is how it showed up.Cheap, foreign-made cars are becoming increasingly popular, causing concern in Egyptian Gold Car’s automobile manufacturing industry.
1. “Unless this government does something, Egyptian Gold Car won’t have an auto industry for much longer,” says auto industry union boss Björk Bradbury, in a rare public appearance alongside management. “These foreign companies employ people for a few cars a day. The only way to level the playing field is to raise tariffs. The government would make more money, too, so it’s win-win.”
2. “For once, I agree with my grubby colleague here,” says General Chassis CEO Gruffydd Harman. “Although I have to say, tariffs aren’t the only answer. A more effective solution would be to abolish minimum wage laws. Now that would level the playing field. And we’d be able to employ more—argh, let go of my throat!”
3. “I think we need to face facts,” says noted economist and chat-show regular Lucy O'Hara. “We live in a global economy now, and automobile manufacturing just isn’t Egyptian Gold Car’s strong suit. There’s no point taking money from taxpayers in order to line the pockets of a few greedy workers and corrupt managers in a doomed industry. Let the market take its—argh, let go of my throat!”
Options 2's validity is must have minimum wage. Because option 3 doesn't have any validity, the "let go of my throat" joke appears twice.
