I recently had Issue 277; Say Cheese!
After a tabloid newspaper printed a photograph of you picking your nose in a restaurant, the government is considering introducing guidelines for journalists wishing to take pictures of you.
I selected option 2 which stopped paparazzi taking pictures of the leader without permission and my political freedoms took a 5.9% downwards hit. Which was from around 79 points down to 72. I think this is completely unjustified as this is such a minor issue, and I don't understand how political freedoms can be changed so much by increasing the leader's right to privacy. This is not stopping any articles being published about the leader's actions, it just prevents photos from being taken unless permission is given, which is most likely what all other citizens have the right to (it's kind of hard to tell with NationStates but I think that would make sense in my region).
TL:DR, political freedoms shouldn't be impacted so heavily, please reduce it as it is unfair and illogical.
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. | Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’James 1:26-27, Matthew 7:21-23

“I don’t care what these so-called scientific studies say,” says Mike Stromburg, representing a number of conservative religious organisations. “How can a boy hope to develop properly into a man if he’s being brought up by poofs? A father figure is not supposed to behave as if it is ‘okay’ to be, um, romantically invested in another man - and the same goes for lesbians! Why? Because it is not okay. It’ll just give them gay! Think about it: say you have two gay doves - they can’t have children because nature did not provide them with the tools and if God wanted gays to have kids then they would have those tools. Don’t legalise this blasphemy! Think of the children!”

paranoia is the new normalI think this would read better as "paranoid is the new normal", since "normal" is an adjective, so anything that comes to replace/equate it probably should be too. That's how most variations of that setence work, anyway.

"Norm" is a noun for something that is normal. I've never heard "normal" used that way.Candlewhisper Archive wrote:Normal can be a noun too, and in the phrase "the new normal" it is definitely a noun.
