I was wondering, if it was possible to get rid of stuff like "car-manufactoring", "Tv-Shows" and all other, lets say, RECENT implements in the community. True, it would take alot of time to construct all new issues and descriptions to be more medievil. Especially if you take magic/witchcraft/superstitions in the equation.

However, if this is done, i suspect it should be best to create a different past heading towards super technology possible also.

Creating both these directions would multiply the possibilities and by x3

Well just my 2 cents anyway... its probably to big an idea to implement directly.

I do agree that's a great idea, but Max Barry doesn't want to introduce war to this site, what's the chance he'd let you introduce a historical timeline for EVERY SINGLE NATION in the game? Not sure that the servers can cope with that much.

Sounds like a good idea for another site though, cause if that system is implemented from the start then you will have nation states cubed as you said, and it's less work to create new than to change existing.

well it's not really necessary to introduce an actual timeline... but it could also just be made possible to reject modern technology or embrace it. Or embrace/reject magic or something....

this could be done with an issue...

and it would be more like creating free expansion packs for this game so to speak.

Creating the same game, but in a different time set, and only adding it when it's at the same stage as this game is in now. This works better the adding pieces and bits in time after time.

It is alot of work i agree, but if was any good in programming (i'm not really good at it... sadly enough :() i would take this as a side project just for fun and just work on it when i wanted to....

i do not see it as undoable... And it's something totally different then creating war, which would need alot more dificult formulas and statistics... and well... WAR is undoable... (i'm not going into discussion why)
