The Issue

The latest "Harry Potter" book to hit schools across The International Soviet Union has stirred up the greatest controversy yet.

The Debate
1."I quite enjoyed the book, until I got to the part where Harry summons evil demons to do his bidding," says religious leader Larry Rubin. "Now that's just wrong. We need to restore some sense to this debate, by which I mean we should remove this book from the shelves, salt it thoroughly, and burn it."

2.Teachers union President Alexei Shiomi says, "Come on, the book is fantasy! And it's a damn good read. I'd like the government to issue a statement of support for our teachers and librarians, so kids can enjoy good books without interference from religious wackos, like Christians."

I'm an anarchist, and be prepared for me to turn everything into a joke, because in all seriousness. We got too many problems to fret over, just chill out and enjoy the ride, laugh when you can, fix what you must. When it comes to debates, I'll state my opinion, but as far as I'm concerned. If you begin to bore me with semantics, fallacies, or otherwise personal attacks, I'm gonna see myself out.

The 1st option decreases civil rights. The second option increases government spending in education. I'm not sure if either directly affect the economy, but banning the book may lower your economic freedoms.

I would assume the second option would improve the economy, if only slightly. If not than it might have an effect on your nation's book publishing industry which would likely see an increase when the books becomes a bestseller.

You'd probably want to go for the second option.

The first option decreases civil rights and might take away from education

The second MIGHT (If so very slightly) increase political freedoms. It will most likely increse civil rights and probably the economy.

Economicaly speaking option two. It costs alot of money to rally the books, cover them in salt and then burn them. Where as the second costs the cost of a single sheet of paper. Unless your nation is very high thech. Then it costs about 2 minutes of time on a computer which is probably no more than 5 cents :D Basicly nothing. Also option one lowers invcome because there would be less tax revinue coming from book sales. Option two only increases spirituality. I'd definatly go with option two,
Mallorea and Riva should resign
