I got the Uranium issue today and I noticed my national animal, the Giant Panda is going extinct due to deforestation so I picked the option which prevented the Rainforest from being destroyed for Uranium mining but nothing happened apart from "tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests." was added to my nations description.

I do not know what is wrong and why it is still dying. Perhaps you need to do more enviro friendly choices on your issues

I think that is because the influence of this issue on environment is pretty weak. Therefore, if you have a really mess up environment, it won't do much help
