Dodgy modifier on issue #30

Postby Myrth » Fri Apr 22, 2011 3:43 am

The issue "Auto Industry Struggles Against Foreign Imports" has an odd modifier on option 1. Again, I'm not sure if this was fixed by Sirocco when he did his blitz of issues. The freedom->economic->industry modifier is used in this issue alone, I'm guessing Max put it in when he was still planning things out.

What do you mean with 'modifier' ? I see nothing odd in that issue.

The internal workings of the issue - i.e. the part that changes your nation's stats. Trying to keep it as vague as possible for obvious reasons.

I do think that the Auto Industry Imports issue is in a need of a reform-- if anything imposing tariffs should restrict economic freedoms rather than increasing them.
I’m mostly here for... something to do, I suppose.

Are you sure it does? The Economy rating and trendline show economic strength, not economic freedom. The only indication of economic freedom is a nation's category, providing only a very rough estimate.

The problem is that while imposing tariffs boosts the economy, economic freedoms rise as well. I went from "Civil Rights Lovefest" to "Anarchy" by choosing it.

Well now there is a business. They are the only thing with power because you took everything away from the government.
