I think it was 11 Mallorea and Riva.

In a response to Swift Sure on the TBH thread and since we have to keep things on topic. I'll respond here instead.

I don't need the defender mumbo jumbo :P

I was actually curious, because I haven't heard of the FRA defending on its own at all when I raid for other regions. There used to be a time when people worried about the FRA and talked about it stopping raids. That just hasn't been the case lately from what I've seen and heard from the world of R/D.

Also, about the "You just don't hear us shouting our achievements at everyone.", I recall the FRA being much like the UDL in terms of how it publicized defences when it had a working FA sector. Or maybe the issue is with the achievements... I'm not sure :P

The FRA has been defending on its own for years, even in the last few months ;)

A lot of people in the past few weeks have claimed that the FRA used to publicise its politics and defences on this forum. Yet this thread is almost 3 years old and has 9 pages. So yeah really shouting about ourselves and achievements.

May 2012 Update
The FRA rangers have taken part in eight missions over the past two weeks, with the Regional Defence Force from A World Power participating in three of those missions. An old warhorse by the name of Numero Captain returned to active duty, so welcome back to him. The UK, along with The United Federation also took part in multiple missions supplying a number of troops.

July 2011 Update
The lepearchauns trounced the fearsome Abstain, his only opponent, with 11 votes to Abstain's 4, with plans to start working closer militarily with other defenders and finding a way to reward Rangers for completing detags. Lep has already started work on his first objective, attempting a liberation of Yorkshire with TITO several days ago. While unfortunately it failed, we were glad to work with TITO and hope we can continue working together in the future.

October 2012 Update
The Rangers have seen action in Pact of Steel, Reagan States, United Nations of America, Pacific and Utopia - although overall gameplay activity in Nationstates has seen a considerable decrease, given the attention that most are paying to the brand-new sinker regions.

I'm unsure if you were trying to criticize independent and raider groups, or the UDL... or both but it's the same stuff.

Another reason for that: Some of the time has been spent not doing much/nothing, and no ones posted a whole lot of other "non-update" posts, unlike the other groups.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the first ever FRAVision song contest- a cultural exchange like no other!

Great! But how the hell is this going to work?

FRAVision will be a song contest between regions and individuals. Any individual, collection of individuals or regions can submit an entry. The contest will last one special week and take the form of three phases...

1. Submission (19th-23rd May 2012)

Anyone wishing to participate will submit their entry by creating a thread in the Submissions Forum using the following format...

Topic Title: (Name of individual, group or region)'s Entry

Body:
Name of candidate:
Inspiration/Description of entry:
Entry: (link to video, song or posting of lyrics)
Why should you win??:

2. Judging (23rd-26th May 2012)

Once the submission phase is over the judges (made up of all regional reps of the FRA Regional Assembly) will vote on their preferred songs. Judges will rate their top 5 songs in order of preference (awarding their favourite 10 (dix) points, then 8 (huit) points, 6 (six) points and so forth). This will be done by judges posting their votes in a designated thread I will open.

3. Award Ceremony (26th May 2012)

Once the judging period is over the winners will be announced in an awesome and special award ceremony. Awards will be available for the top 3 candidates.

Sounds awesome. Can anyone take part?

I know, it does. Anyone can take part- you don't need to be a citizen of a FRA member region or even a defender. Each person is limited to one entry only however, including if they are submitting an entry as a group.

Can we make up our own song?

Of course. Entries are only required to be a song- if you've written your own we'd love to hear you sing it, but failing that lyrics are also accepted!

So get composing!

There is a slight difference between bragging and updating people on what is going on. From looking at what you have posted, they are just from the standard updates that are sent out roughly every two weeks - If you are of the mindset that all updates are bragging tools, then every region who sends out updates are bragging!

Not saying you're wrong, but there is an element of half a dozen of one, six of another in this argument...

If you really want to hear what my singing sounds like, go turn some music on and throw a cat down the stairs*. That would be fairly similar.

*Please please please do not throw a cat down the stairs. Use your imagination!
