Good luck to Funk at his new job in the FRA. It's a tough job but rewarding all the same.

Tonight was a productive night for the FRA Rangers, with one of the best Ranger turnouts in recent history as well as a plethora of regions we were able to successfully defend! The Rangers, along with our friends in The Grey Wardens and The South Pacific were able to successfully liberate two regions right off the bat at the start of update. In a continuation of our run, the Rangers were able to stop the (not so) aptly named "Fenda Crusher" Firehelm puppet series. Our defender group was able to tackle two groups of invaders at the same time, and toward the end, we also thwarted an invasion from Kingdom of Great Britain.

We're looking forward to being able to do more of this in the future with our defender friends! If you're interested in sharing our victories, consider joining the FRA Rangers and becoming part of the best defender group out there! Also, feel free to come join our new Discord chat server!

So much praise for the FRA lately. I'm taking bets on how long before Glen-Rhodes tries to enroll the South Pacific into the FRA, if anyone's interested. Bets can be made in the currency of the glorious South Pacific Socialist Republic.

Founderless Regions Alliance Update - October 2016

Greetings friends and allies,

I wish I could be communicating under better terms, however;

It has been resolved by the Regional Assembly (and most of the active members of the Founderless Regions Alliance) to adjourn business in the FRA and close our doors.

This decision was not made lightly. Over the past several months, there have been several discussions about the potential future of the FRA, and collectively we have determined that the best path to take is to cease our operations. However, the treaty will technically remain in tact between the regions involved, but the day to day operations and internal structure of the alliance will cease to function.

While this was an extremely difficult choice to make, and I personally find it difficult to write this, we find it to be the best decision. Recently the FRA has not been up to muster the way most of us believe it should be, and we would rather remember the FRA for what it was rather than what it is now.

That being said, this is not all sad. We should all look back on the FRA and all of the good it has done for so many countless individuals and communities across Nationstates. The FRA has served as a home for so many in our community. Our cultural events like the Defender Awards and FRAvision were things that so many people looked forward to every year, and we always delivered. That's not even to mention all the good things the FRA did for the many regions we've all defended over the years. While this is undoubtedly a somber occasion, I believe it should also be a day of celebration.

A celebration of our history; A celebration of our identity; A celebration of ourselves as defenders.

I wish you all luck in the future.

Effective immediately, I resign as Chancellor of the Founderless Regions Alliance.

Respectfully yours,

Funkadelia
Chancellor of the Founderless Regions Alliance.

1. Be it resolved that the Regional Assembly adjourns sine die;

2. Be it further resolved that the Regional Assembly shall reconvene at the request of the heads of state or heads of government of at least three of the following regions:
Antarctica
Atlantis
Gay
Global Right Alliance
Jethnea
Lazarus
Liberty Alliance
New Sorvun
North Pacific
The Rejected Realms
San Francisco Bay Area
Trav Khar
3. Be it further resolved that the forum administrators, if the Regional Assembly should not be reconvened before January 1, 2019, are authorized to make the Alliance's forums public, save those parts which, in their opinion, continue to require secrecy;

4. Be it further resolved that this motion, if adopted, shall be posted by a forum administrator as a forum-wide announcement, which appears in all forums;

5. Be it further resolved that the Chancellor shall transmit copies of this motion, if adopted, to the heads of state and heads of government of the aforementioned regions as well as to the NationStates forums.

Ah, I'm getting sidetracked. Excellent news, nonetheless. Congratulations on the waving of your white flag.

Sad to see a name that was respected and feared by invaders even when I joined raiding fall after many years of operation. I will miss the events it held that brought all of Gameplay closer together on common ground and led to the creation of gems like "Moves like Jakker." Enemies in play or not, it's a dark day to see a massive GP org throw in the towel.

Can't wait for the imperialist victory marches.

Glad to see the sensible decision was made and the alliance was left to rest peacefully as opposed to dragging on pointlessly for another few years.

When I started R/D you guys were the big deal. I remember it fondly, and despite the fun that we had at each other's expense, I generally have respected the skill and dedication that this organization has displayed various times in the past. It is sad to see something like this come to an end but I understand the reasoning. Best of luck to all of those still involved to the end. May we meet on the field later on. o7

This is a solemn occasion and should be treated as one. To the Founderless Regions Alliance, one may have been anything from the surest of comrades with them or the bitterest of enemies, but one thing that does not change is that they, in their heyday, were worth opponents. That may have changed in recent years, to the point they may even have been seen as a mere shadow of their former selves. They endured many years, some harder than most, and even in their final words, they are gracious. On a personal note, the Founderless Regions Alliance and I may not have seen eye-to-eye much, if at all, but on the fields and off, I respected them.

Goodnight, sweet soldiers.

A sad day but probably the best decision. When I first came to defending, updating with the FRA was by far the most fun activity I ever had in this game. Building kick-butt dossiers and suspiciously watching dozens of nations that one suspected of being a switcher. There was a lot of suspense and surprise week after week. And when your guesses turned out correct and you got the spot point on a raid.. Most fun ever!

I miss that version of Gameplay, it has been very hard to stay interested in the versions that came to replace it.

Can't say I'm shocked. FRA took a lot of hard hits back in my hey day, yet still mostly stood. Many of its soldiers were worthy opponents, and their Intel departments were efficient. (Looking at Numero on that)

So, it seems the FRA will join the long list of adversaries which I have outlasted. Suffice to say, that I never intended to use intelligence or subversive influence to damage the FRA*, but nonetheless I can hardly pretend I think the possible conclusion of this nefarious organisation is a negative event.
