The democratically elected parliament requires a unanimous vote to actually pass legalisation and with proportional representation and the number of extremists in parliament this is near impossible.
So the monarchy effectively rules by decree. I have achieved this through answering issues in a certain way... Unfortunately I can’t remember what those issues were. That plus a little bit of RP. Anyway my point is it’s easy to have moderate to high political freedoms and still have absolute power, you just have to be creative.
Huh. That's a rather unique and, I must say, deliciously evil approach. *golfclap*

Basically:
- Find out what tier your Personal Freedoms (Civil Rights) fall into (check your nation page). I'm at "Superb", which is the highest tier.
- Find out your Economic Freedom. I have no idea how to do this, but if you're a true capitalist it's usually the right and if your business is fully nationalized it's on the left. The middle is with some regulations, that's what I have.
- Find out your Political Freedom, again through your nation page.
Now try finding out why your nation is an Authoritarian Democracy.

The colored bar represents the demographic layout of the various govenment types. The redder the square, the more common that form of government is, like inoffensive centrist democracy. The bluer, the rarer, like free market paradise.

Thanks, was wondering that too. Seems like Libertarian Police State is quite rare.

I quite dislike it to be frank, I've never once done anything to limit political freedoms except for outlawing voting. I'd like to bring the pol. freedoms up a bit, to the point of a Left-Leaning College State.
