This is the formal application thread for the Judean Sanctum, the main thread can be found here. Please submit all requests and applications to join Judea here. Any application placed in the main thread located above will be rejected immediately and will be barred from reapplying for a designated amount of time. To all applicants: Please be patient, the admission process requires time to transpire for debate on the decision before vote can be conducted. However, spamming either thread will not be tolerated. Please complete the Application fully before, incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

In addition, when an application has been submitted an IRC interview will be conducted with varying nations from Judea and the applicant to help our members vote adequately on the applicant. The contents of the interview will be posted publicly. Regardless, IRC activity by all applicants is highly recommended and almost a necessity for acceptance into Judea.

I. Describe your nation (the people, the customs, the culture, etc.).
Rashuta is a land of diverse people and customs, but most are composed of two major ethnic groups, the Rashu and the Mykeito. The Rashu mainly occupy the northern half of Rashuta, they are predominantly Catholic and are kind of like the Spanish. They have a long history of military excellence and a great willingness to fight to defend their beliefs and rights, which is why few have problems with Rashuta's mandatory military service. The Rashus feel a certain loyalty to Ryanita and have never showed dissidence from any government orders coming from there. There is a great sense of community felt to other Rashus, but others, Mykeitos especially (not as much any more) are often viewed with suspicion. Culturally education is important, and fencing is an art. Traditional dancing and food have remained unchanged from times far gone, but many new cooking and dance style influence modern Rashus. The most popular sport is running, thus track in the spring and cross country in the fall receive the most attention.
The Mykeito people dominate the southern deserts and mountain ranges of Rashuta. They are Muslim and of Arab ethnicity, and are not too different from the Rashu in many respect. They are noted for their unique and traditional culture, dancing and cooking in particular. They feel a great sense of community among there own and are wary of outsiders, not as much as the Rashus though. Tradition and religion dictate kindness generosity to all peoples, which means they are more peaceful as a whole, but they too are know to be willing to die for their beliefs and rights, which has brought forth many tales of legendary warriors. Back when the Rashus and Mykeitos occupied two separate kingdoms Myosa was their capital, however many had lost touch with the city after it's revolt 10 years ago, however with its readmission to the Rashutan Commonwealth it is now being reborn as the cultural capital of the Mykeito people.

II. What do you like to write about the most with your nation?
I like cultural things the most, trade and diplomacy also catch my interest. I am trying to make Rashuta seem like it is opening up to the outside world for the first time.

III. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
There is a strong sense of Patriotism, which keeps the socialist state alive especially with its mandatory military service and education procedure. However people often put culture before country, and are rather xenophobic, but not in dire situations. Also socialism is a double edged sword, we have less goods to trade, but we have no poverty.

IV. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?
I used to be a member of Judea, and I have been in threads helping many of them.

V. Have you been involved in any war threads recently?
Yes, I contributed soldiers, see like in "International Conflicts" Section.

VI. Have you undergone a civil war or internal revolution before?
Yes, there have been a few:
The People's Revolution: (19705-76) The Rashu, Mykeitos, natives, and descendents of immigrants overthrew the oppressive dual monarchy that controlled Rashuta ever since its formation in 1607. They installed the basic government that we have today.

The Mykeito Coup: (1980-81) Many Mykeito officers and soldiers fought for the independence of their people due to their discrimination in the political system (the Rashus had greater representation in Parliament and the capital was in the north). This conflict resulted in less than 1,000 deaths and the Rashus granting the Mykeito more representation in Parliament.

Myosan Revolt: (2000) The city of Myosa still had a king, though little more than a figurehead he used his popularity in the city and friendship with foreign companies to fund an army to "liberate" Myosa and the surrounding area to create a pro-business environment. It was successful due to many Rashutan's fear of having to fight in such a large city with all the possible casualties. (Myosa would rejoin Rashuta in 2008 after overthrowing the kind).

Prime Minister Coup: (2010) The Prime Minister used the soldiers under his control to seize Parliament and their army (all branches of government have some control of the military [judicial soldiers are police] including the people [in addition all the population have been put through a government run college/military program]) The People's army secured all but the capital peninsula, causing a standoff. The Prime Minister surrendered and was exiled and the coup ended.

With a general population of 490 million citizens and inhabitants and continuously growing, Hellestia is also home to some of the most diverse ethnic populations in the world, with a 35% population of mixed ethnicities compared to that of the entire general natural-born Hellestine population. Unemployment remains a problem, although the government is in constant discussion on how to help solve the problem, such as administering the expansion of economy and environmental procedures. The United Realms of Hellestia does not uphold the right to establish an official language, nor does it have the ability to impose laws concerning religion or sexual preference. English and German are the two most widely spoken languages, while Dutch, Russian, and Polish language tend to be more popular in the outer corners of the land. The most dominant religions in Hellestia are Roman Catholicism and Agnosticism, with others such as Orthodox Christianity and Buddhism bringing a blend of societal influence within the Hellestine population. Same-sex marriages are legal throughout all the federal states, with an average of 23 marriages annually. 5% of the population are not of heterosexual preference.

Hellestine people are very strict about moral values and tend to be extreme-Conservative on certain social issues. History has played a vital role in the growth of the country's society, where even the very basic terms and structures of government are named under the reverence of past-historical events, individuals, and commemoratives of the now-deceased Grand Hegemony of the Hellestine Monarchy, though the current succession of kings and such is still occurring. Respect is the basic fundamental trait of Hellestine society, and as such, elders and other individuals of worthy merit are treated with the utmost respect that they deserve.


III. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?


This can be seen in a broader perspective, but nevertheless, the strengths of Hellestia include the government, military, and the diplomatic relationships that we currently hold with several other nations. Additionally, our neutrality in most, if not all, international conflicts and incidents, have termed us by some as a ''respectable'' and ''advanced'' nation, though these are merely opinions y some. Our weaknesses include our country's rising unemployment rate, as several corporations and markets of Hellestia are slowly outsourcing jobs elsewhere. Actions by the government are currently being proposed, instituted, and implemented in order to curb this trend in unemployment. Our economy has also failed to grow under some standards, though we are continuously pursuing new economic markets to capitalize and invest towards.


IV. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)


The dedication and realistic approaches are all appropriate traits to consider. All IC posts under Hellestia are taken into the highest effort and are edited accordingly. In terms of realistic approaches, we tend to negotiate and stress the importance of the utilization of diplomatic initiatives before taking militaristic or any other radical action.


V. Why do you want to join Judea?


In order to be a rightful member of possibly the most active and influential of all other regions of the community of NationStates, where we may be able to secure a position of security and prosperity, under the regulations and standards as administered by the Judean Sanctum, throughout the world with the assistance of other Judean nations.


VI. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?


As of right now, several members of Judea have already concluded diplomatic missions through the use of applying for an embassy within the United Realms of Hellestia, as witnessed in the Embassy Application Directory. All other individual nations not mentioned are under the Neutral viewpoint guidance of our International Affairs and Federal Intelligence Directory departments. However, we are under the suspicious information that one member of Judea, Hornopolis, seems to take a critical approach towards our attempt in applying to Judea and was supposedly accused of denying all Hellestine regional applications to Judea, however this information is uncertain and should not be taken under every certain wing.

Brostan is for the most part, very cold and mountainous. As a result, the people have had to adapt to their harsh conditions and devolop ways of growing crops and raising livestock in some of the most inhospitable conditions, despite their best efforts, a good portion of food has to be imported from other nations. The I.Q. of the average Brostani is 140, much higher than others though reasons for this are unknown.

III. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Strengths of Brostan are excellent manufacturing centers, strictly enforced safety in Brostani territorial waters and harbors, and a small but strong and dedicated military (with an emphasis on naval and air power). Weaknesses of Brostan are a dependence on imported food to feed the Brostani population and few rights in terms of freedom of speech and the press.

I plan on becoming more involved over time and primarily want to contribute to the economy and defense of Judea

Wewtlandem's people are a resilient one, having endured quite a few domestic conflicts, until finally reaching what they see as their ideal form of government. The people are very much pleased with the current government, and are content to do what they must to keep it. The people only really need one thing for entertainment, metal. Metal is at the heart and soul of every true Wewtlandish citizen.

III. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Wewtlandem is a very strong nation economically and militarily. The nation's main weakness can be seen in it's Air Force. The Wewt Republican Air force is a very advanced one, but it is quite lacking in the size department. Recovering from a terrible, five-year, occupation, the people of Tetrika have come together to rebuild their nation to it's former splendour. A spirt of National Unity has swept across Tetrika in the few years since the end of the occupation, and rebuilding is proceeding apace. Much of the Customs of Tetrika are now based around celebrating the victories and remembering the losses during the fight to regain their homeland.

Tetrikan culture is rich, with a history stretching back hundreds of years. New Culture is appearing, again mostly based around the Good and bad side of the Occupation.

Tetrikans on the whole are a caring people, with very little racism and a pioneering, 'Never give up' outlook on life that will one day return Tetrika to it's former Glory.

III. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
National Unity is a massive strength for the Union, allowing Tetrika to rapidly return to a good level of development following the Occupation. All the major cities are thriving again, and the country is not far behind as a whole.

The main weakness is the relatively inexperianced Congress. With Congress devastated during the Occupation, it is now made up largely of newer, younger Senators and Congressmen. Although learning fast, this may still prove a problem in future times of Crisis.

IV. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
I endeavour at all times to put only the top-level of effort into my writing and the development of my nation, from the Seniorist levels of the Union Government, to the lowliest Private in the Union Army, they all get the same attention. I intend to continue this effort and detail in JUdea

The people can be described as hearty if a bit aggressive, they have a deep love of their massive coniferous forest and the ocean. The culture and customs are described as Nordic or German in RL, and many customs are derived from Northern or Central Europe. That being said most Gratislavians are of the Catholic faith.

Ostronopolians are split into two ethnicities: the Greconus and Litinikis. The Litinikis ethnicity is generally described as fair-skinned lanky individuals hailing from the western portion of the nation known for their shrewd ambiguity. The Greconus hail from the eastern half of the nation, known for being primarily mesomorphs, tanned, and generally intellectually inferior to the Latinikis.

Religious life plays an integral aspect in the culture and customs. The religion which is state hailed, and generally believed by roughly 95% of the population is Zeodiasianism. The main follower of the first religious sect of the Zeodiasian religion called Diasianism are the Latinikis. This religion is characterized by its monolatristic worship of the deity Dias as the supreme God reigning over other lower gods which each were gifted with one of Dias's powers. Zeonus is depicted as being a secondary God of Wrath, jealous of Dias and malignant in nature. The second religious sect of the Zeodiasian religion is Zeonusianism which is the converse of Diasianism stating that Zeonus is the supreme god and that Dias is a secondary God of Sorrow.

Zeodiasianism plays a massive role in the politics of the society, having been split along ethnic and geographic lines. I'm known well by Solm and a few past Judean members, as well as members of the NS community at large. Further, I have experience in other RP regions such as Rostil and Tyrrhenia, as well as knowledge of the general nature of NS regional relations.

New Armarzia was the reformation of Armarzia which is based off the Armarz Empire(OOC:Armarz is the equivalant of the roman empire, excpet it is a monarcy and not a republic) was formed by a large amount of city-states. Armarzia was a great empire that fell to civil conflict and an eventual invasion of the homeland. A combined assault by the Armarzian intact colonies re-conquered Armarzia. The nation was reformed and is now known as New Armarzia. These events have contributed to a heavy improvement of approval towards military and religion.

Life in New Armarzia revolves around military and religion. The national religion, The Armarz Orthodox Church, helps improves the attitude toward the military and current leadership due to its large amount of followers. Nearly 97% of Armarzians and South Armarzians are members of this faith that date backs to before the Armarz empire (around 2000BC).

Armarzians are not generally well educated compared to most nations. People are placed into their jobs by school performance. The majority of people participating in agriculture, industry, and military. Everyone is required to be apart of the military for ten years, but many choose to be full-time. Officers and business leaders are sent to other nations to learn more about international ideas on military and industry.

New Armarzia has two major ethnic groups, Armarzians and Southern Armarzians. Armarzians are like a typical Slovak male, they are white with medium builds. Southern Armarzians are slightly darker and bigger. There is no strict religion in the conventional sense, but pagan gods are worshipped by some of the more obscure tribes in the Dominion. Everything is designed to focus at the tribal level, with a governing council of warlords keeping the loose Dominion together.

We are very isolated in nature, and have a history of fragmenting due to internal strife. Our instability is also marked by our small size, as we have only just begun to grow as a unified nation.

The Ozanrian People are a large, culturally diverse group that can trace their roots back far into antiquity. The Ozanrians were indigenous natives who formed a loose coalition of over thirty tribes. Eventually, five of the strongest of these tribes - the Itupeva & Nazare, the Jundiai, the Maua Poa, the Miracatu, and the Ruans - formed a Tribal Confederacy, assimilating or outright destroying many of the other tribes. By 2186 B.C. only seven other indigenous bands remained, comprising the Caneia, the Cricuma, the Garuva, the Imarui, the Pinhas, the Velha, and the Veneza Bands. These subjugated bands would become part of the Ozanrian Confederacy. Each tribe maintained their own specific traditions, yet their customs also blended with those of the other tribes to form a collage of different cultural mores and rituals over time.

Aside from the Cerberans, two other large cultures began to assimilate into Ozanria. The first group were the Chelts: Nordic barbarians who began to raid the northern tribes of the Confederacy beginning in 671 A.D. The groups would war for several centuries, until a peace accord was finally reached in the year 973. Three centuries later, the Conquistadors of the Cerberan Empire infiltrated deep into the heart of Ozanria. The Cerberans brought their Latino customs and traditions into the country, further mingling with the blended culture of the Ozanrian natives and the Cheltan population. In 1691, the Cerberan Empire collapsed, allowing the now-assimilated Ozanrian and Cheltan populations to form a new Confederacy. Adopting the assimilated Cerberans into the new union, the dominion took on the vestiges of its former Cerberan conquerors, becoming the Southron Confederación (Southern Confederacy).

The Ozanrian People share a rich cultural background as a result of the Confederacy's lengthy history of exploration and colonization. Though diverse, the Ozanrians display a fiercely nationalistic, borderline-Imperialistic zeal that has made the Confederación a formidable foe in battle. Nonetheless, six formal votes by the Confederación to merge into a Federation have been voted down, in an attempt to preserve tradition. Spanish is the most widely spoken language in Ozanria, though many tribal languages are spoken at the local level as well. French is spoken amongst the Polite Enclaves in the extreme south, and several Germanic languages (notably English and German) are spoken with some degree of regularity in the heavily populated centers.

III. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Ozanria is a large nation with ample natural resources and fertile ground for growing a wide variety of crops. In addition, the Ozanrians have a long and storied history of exploration and colonization, giving them a rich military tradition, as well as deep geopolitical connections. However, the nature of the Confederación means a relatively weak central government, that can do very little without the backing of the individual members of the dominion. If one of the dominion members elects not to support the efforts of the other members, the military and geopolitical clout of the Confederación is lessened immensely.

IV. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
In-character, Ozanria is a bulwark for a region that looks to gain a formidable ally to face down the threats of the international community. We have a rich history of defending both our own colonies and our allies, and would make a valued trading partner with our vast economy. Out-of-character, I've been playing the game for many years now, and have the writing skills necessary to get the job done in a variety of RP formats.

V. Why do you want to join Judea?
I lost my old nation (New Azura), and decided that my wife's request for me to stop playing was pretty much garbage. Thus, I prove everyone right (yet again) that AZURA CAN'T QUIT THIS STUPID GAME. That, and I love you guys.

The people are quiet. War is an interest many find compelling. The educational custom is to strict, school is free but only the top sixty percent of students make it passed the Preliminary Universities. This is to increase competition and keep over-qualification for jobs that are necessary. Dropping out of school is considered dishonorable, except for the fridge farmers who often need their children's aid in gathering harvests. The nation's education system produces over two thousand Economics graduates a year. Video games are outlawed. Homeless are conscripted.

III. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
They have a very strong work ethic. We have few ports, our crime is mostly driven by those that can not find a job because the market is so competitive. Terrorist groups spark up quickly and die, but the damage they cause has hampered investment and the rate at which the nation can develop. The military is small, and conscripted.

Trescott has always been a nation brimming with opportunity. Since the dawn of the early explorers, Trescott was a land free of any allegiance to a foreign power. It was a place of individuality, peace, and harmony. In a world governed by nobility, such a place was an uncommon thing amongst nations at that time and age. A person would have the liberty of going and doing as he pleased without fear of being subjected to the whims of the hierarchy. Other nations scorned such a freedom, but to the common people, such a privilege was highly regarded. To them, the common man, they were what ruled a nation. The belief that all should rule was what had kept the nation alive for such a long period of time. However, such a belief also spelled complications in a nation ruled at that time not by the common man, but instead by the Monarch.

For centuries, Trescott had stood the tests of time. It had survived invasions, rebellions, and revolutions alike. However, it wasn't until the Republican movement of the late 1800's that integration between the Republic and Monarchy was formed. At that time, the world was still largely populated by Monarchies. To have such a thing as a Monarchy and a Republic, was an absurd and dangerous dream. Even with the pressure from its former allies and associates to revert back to its old Monarchial ways, the new government of Trescott would not yield. It was because of the union of a Republican and Monarchial-styled government that Trescott would succeed where others would fall. In later years, this decision proved to be a good one.

Though the majority of the population is 'Trescottian' in birth, a good portion of Trescott's citizens hail from foreign nations and foreign cultures. As such, much of Trescott's customs are diversified between the different ethnicities and races inhabiting the nation. Though there have been some minor conflicts among the different backgrounds of Trescott, the nation as a whole remains largely undisturbed. One could say that it is because of the differences, that Trescott has survived for such a long period of time.

The predominant language used by Trescottians, is English. It is spoken commonly throughout the nation. French and Latin have also been marked in Trescott as secondary languages. The French language is primarily used around large cities and towns, and mostly by the Trescottian aristocracy. Much of the Trescottian Nobility speaks and name in the French language. Latin is primarily used in the scientific community of Trescott, it is also used inside the Royal Court.

Although many citizens are free to do what they so please, some things in Trescott cannot be too open for the public opinion. Education is standardized throughout Trescott and is a heavily funded part of the Trescottian government. Many in the nation believe that the children of Trescott are its future. To ensure this end, the Trescottian government funds the education of many schools, universities, and private educational facilities.

III. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Trescott's strength lies in its many natural resources and diplomatic standing. A large array of natural and manufactured resources can be found throughout the Trescottian land. Fertile soil in the North, South, and Eastern regions provides a suitable environment as to produce a wide range of crops. A significant amount of oil reserves is located in the southern region, providing the nation with oil to use and sell. In addition, the Trescottian government always seeks to improve the diplomatic relations of most nations they had recently come in contact with. Because these endeavors usually turn out fruitful, Trescottians can be counted on for their ability to diplomatically handle a situation of dire importance.

Trescott's weakness lies in its political structuring. The political structure of Trescott pits the Monarchial Branch against the Republican System of governance. As the Republican branch of government is already tied up with its own internal bickering and conflict, the addition of the added interest of the Monarchy throws the politcal system into a spiraling decent. Sometimes, legislations are held up for months on end because of the constant political conflict from within. At times, the Monarchy and Republic do not see eye-to-eye, forcing the common man to suffer under the political hell-storm.

IV. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
[ICly: Trescott is a nation that has a reputation for promoting the general fundamentals of peace, even in the most dire of situations. However, when diplomatic procedures diffuse, and war is the only viable option left for us to undertake, we are a stout defender of both allies and friends. In addition to providing military aid, Trescott is an activist on Humanitarian and Relief missions to nations stuck by natural and economic disasters.]

The Dominion of Tergnitz, officially known as The Righteous Imperial Dominion of Tergnitz, is a medium to large sized country. It is a conservative nation, whose citizens tend to be highly moralistic in their social beliefs. The Dominion is economically strong, with large reserves of natural resources, well-developed industries and a powerhouse of a private sector, led by several large multi-national corporations who are headquartered in the Dominion. It is a nation renowned for its compulsory military service, with an intelligent, hard-working population of 2,699,471,206 billion.

The Dominion is constitutionally a Unitary Crowned Unicameral Multi-Party Senatorial Theocratic Republic, ruled by His Imperial Majesty by the Divine Providence of the Almighty, the Emperor of Tergnitz, Augustus Tiberian Vera I, with a fair and even hand. The small Federal government concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law and Order and Commerce are on the agenda. Crime, especially youth-related, is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive, national police force and the Empire's national animal is the Eagle. The Dominion is currently attempting to expand its presence on the world stage through a mix of economic, diplomatic and military actions.

IC’ly, the Dominion brings a strong, disciplined and battle-hardened force to the defence of the region. Additionally, with a large, free-trade based economy, the Dominion would contribute greatly to an increased amount of inter-regional trade. OOC’ly, I’m a good guy and pretty easy to get along with in my opinion. The worst thing you want is some asshole joining and luckily, I don’t think I have that quality...yet.

IC'ly Deus is a strong economic city-state, a maritime and aerial wonder of trade and commerce. It has many allies and deals that protect it and back it up in conflict. Our people live in equality, in peace, as brothers. All are compassionate, all treat each other as if they are one family, and the people are not aggressive. War is avoided where possible, generally. The people are all equal, even Tovarishch Sergei. The only difference is he holds more power, but is to be treated as a brother.


II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?

Strengths: Our nation has a very strong military, experienced and powerful, we also have a large special forces sector, those being the Siberian Foreign Legion and the Siberian Spetsnaz. We are also a very diplomatic nation, and despite the strong military we attempt to avoid using it where possible; our leader is a silver tongued devil, always level headed and rational, he has saved the nation from many a war. We also have an absolutely phenomenal amount of natural resources, everything from coal and diamonds to Uranium, we are very well off and can hold out well in the event of a recession as we will still be able to commence trade etc.

Weaknesses: Our nation is not particularly like by all, we have a large amount of allies but also some very powerful enemies. Also, due to a recent Menshevik Communist revolution, our government is experiencing radical changes. We are also engaged in many events at once, which could be devastating; however, I am trying to slow the pace down. [In IC Terms, try not to be involved in so many international conflicts at any one given time].


III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)

I enjoy Role Playing on the forums, I am on every day, I am the founder/creator of a fair share of alliances (one of which quite successful/fairly well known, the other experiencing radical reforms recently). I am a good Role Player (even if I do say so myself...) and I can supply links, which I believe I already have. I am mostly level headed and cool tempered, I am very negotiable and I am tolerant. I accept all and any form of government or religion, and I will do whatever is necessary to seek as diplomatic outcome for any situation, but will defend my nation, and the nations of my friends/allies, with steadfast and unwavering loyalty.


IV. Why do you want to join Judea?

I wish to join Judea because Judea is a major alliance within the game; it is known by many, if not then all, nations of the world. I feel a membership within Judea would be highly beneficial for my nation. Also, due to a recent agreement between our nation and Solm, our nation is a protectorate, and we wish to be more closely involved with Solm and its allies.


V. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?

I have a good relationship with Solm after talking last night, I also have good relations with Trescott, once again after last night (many will know me as Siberia or Russia), and I am optimistic that if I was to be approved, I would have good relations with all members. I've also met Grossrheinland Reich before, on the Conglomerate thread, but didn't talk too much (also, I believe we talked in the IRC, if his name was Amitobha). I've come across The West Coast before, had a few run ins, and all good too, I believe. The one with whom I am most familiar, however, is Trivval, who is a member of the Sovereign Empires Coalition, as am I. I understand you yourselves had a run in with the S.E.C a while back, and there was some arguing going on too; something to do with a constitution. Anyway, I stayed out of it, and so hold no ill feelings to any member of Judea.

Gyflada is a cold snow winterfest, and hot sun bating tourist country. The people, mostly White, are of a kind variety. The country has a strong Environmentally friendly policy, and invests in it's Education. The minim wage is at an all time high of ƒ7.50 per hour. Gyflada has many festivals, and the Military is heavily involved in parades.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Gyflada's strengths include a natural resources of Pine, steel and hydrogen gas. Gyflada is also investing in it's military and this is becoming a strength of the country. Gyflada's weakness' can vary. The country ended civil war on 10th June 2010, so the country is still rebuilding.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
Gyflada is heavily involved in the role-playing environment. We are also involved within the online community and we believe that this is one of the things that we will fit in best within the Judea.

I am not afraid to admit, that I founded a region that failed, like so many have within Nationstates. We simply could not gain the nations we needed and the region lacked the amount of nations needed to create any good Roleplays, this lead to inactivity, and the slow decline of the region.

The Sensalian people have been described since the beginning of the nation as friendly and kind people to any foreigners or natives. Giving lodging to travelers has been a long honored tradition to the Sensalian people and providing food, shelter, and any other comforts to them has been considered a duty if anything. Through its history though, Sensal has maintained a policy of non-interventionism until the early 20th century when the massive natural resources of Sensal were finally found. As Sensal grew rapidly with companies exploiting the resources, the influences of nations around the world began to enter the nation.

These influences that entered the nation led to the eventual voluntary abdication of monarchy and the establishment of The Republic of Sensal. The Republic then lasted another 100 years and during those 100 years The Republic of Sensal managed to keep the country under control during Sensal's massive growth and foreign influences out. Thus, Sensal managed to keep its sovereignty and its resources for itself ensuring that Sensal didn't become a simple colony. During this period though, Sensal stayed very much isolationist refusing to participate in any affairs of the International Community. Today this presents a challenge as relations that many nations hold today have been hundreds of years while Sensal holds relations that have lasted only a matter of months.

The Imperial Republic is currently a largely homogeneous(with most being the Sensalian race) population with very few foreigners in the nation. This was due to Sensal's history of xenophobia and even an official government policy lasting from 1924-1976 that put foreigners at a great disadvantage compared to native born Sensalians. But starting from 1976, due to severe pressure from the public all anti-foreigner policies were abolished and most anti-foreign government officials removed from office and shamed.

The people of Sensal are generally bilingual with English and Korean as the two major languages in Sensal. Most common people speak English while the more educated and the "elite" of society speak both languages. In history though, the Monarchy spoke only Korean and all official government dealings done in Korean to ensure that the common man remained illiterate in matters of the state. Though the monarchy did establish English as the official language, most government dealings continued in Korean until the establishment of the Republic.

The country has recently been turned into a Constitutional Monarchy with the majority of the populace supporting the move. Demonstrations were made at the coronation with numbers of protesters numbered at around 200 souls and the some protesters did become violent. The police were called in to suppress the protest as it turned violent. This conflict led to 4 protesters dead and 2 policemen with the Grand Court so far supporting the actions of the policemen saying "the duty of the police in the country is to keep order and keep the people safe" and that the policemen were simply keeping to their duty.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
The Imperial Republic of Sensal is a nation that currently holds nearly 500,000,000,000 barrels of crude oil off its coast and much more natural resources across the country. Everything from gold, to the rarely used coal, to uranium are found in the nation with companies actively extracting Sensal's many natural materials to fuel its every growing economy. Sensal's economy is 100% based upon the private sector with government regulations though being of high standards. The Imperial Republic of Sensal also maintains a very large active naval fleet which ensures that any foreign nation will think twice before an invasion will commence.

Weaknesses of The Imperial Republic is mostly contained in the fact that the airforce and much of the army are currently geared for defensive operations. At this point in time, if the Sensalian military were to partake in an foreign campaign, only 10,000 combat men in the army(including logistics forces) and 50 combat aircraft would be ready for any sort of deployment outside of Sensalian borders. The airforce(other then anti-aircraft capabilities and the Strategic Strike Force) as well as the army is also underfunded, undermanned, and under-led compared to the navy which is considered the pride of the Sensalian military. Plans by the government and the Military Board have been made to increase the effectiveness of the army and navy.

IC: The Imperial Republic of Sensal has since its creation as a nation protected the values of freedom, liberty, and justice both in its own borders and through the International Community. We feel as though this long track history of the protection of these values which are so essential to mankind at any point in time. Sensal also has the history of a fairly peaceful nation with violence only being used in the most extreme cases, but at the same time Sensal maintains a high level of military readiness due to the constant threat of foreign intervention.

OOC: I am a fairly active RP'er and an average writer that is always willing to work with other people!

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
IC: The Imperial Republic of Sensal in an effort to make itself better known through the International Community and to connect with more nations in the world has made the decision to reach out to the International Community to achieve this goal. The Imperial Republic also wishes to strengthen already powerful relations with member states in Searon as well as create new relations which will last as long as the sun.

Minnysota has been a strong and proud nation for nearly one hundred years now. People have settled in the area since before what Christians call the prehistory, and have continued to flock to the rich farmland and the prosperous trading centers. After independence from the oppressive rule of the United States of TGPLand, Minnysota endured a long sixty years which endured two bloody wars against the US of TGPLand and several depressions. However, after the collapse of the US of TGPLand, the United States of Minnysota have been prospering.

Minnysota in the modern day and age is full of economic opportunities, housing a huge technological sector and the keeper of a fair GDP per capita. A vast majority of the citizens are employed, while the others scour the streets during the day begging the rich for money. A huge percentage of the homes of Minnysota are abundant with new technology that sparks up the life for the average citizen. While all of these factors make the country sound like a utopia, it isn't. Crime in the cities has remained a problem over the years, but has been slightly dropping recently. The large taxes which are placed upon the citizens is often a complaint.The corruption that has entangled parts of the government grant arms companies special privileges and keep the military well-funded, while the aftershock of pollution problems from over twenty years ago is just now dispersing.

The people of Minnysota have come to enjoy activities such as attending football, soccer, rugby, hockey, basketball, and baseball games throughout the country, which has major leagues in all of the sports. Exercise is also a common activity among the population, with the average person between 18-56 exercising two to three times a week. Religious practices are also very common, and include the religions of various forms of polytheism, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Islam.

Minnysota is regarded as a very cultured country. People have come to enjoy the food that has passed down from generation to generation since the time of the barbaric nomads, which include types of fish and meat. Dancing styles and musical tastes also differ from others, which have also been inherited from the early nomads.

The people of the United States are typically a people proud of their nation and it's colourful history since throwing off British rule several hundred years ago. Since that time the United States has become strong, something which it's people hold very dear. Although there is a technical seperation of Church and State, the people of the US tend to be fairly religious, although not to the extremes that some nations suffer from. The United States is well economically developed, and has a widely accepted Powerhouse of an Economy, which is used to solve social problems, and provide the United States with a high-tech and modern Military to defend it's borders.

Democracy is close to the heart of all Jeraddoians, and they were willing to fight and die in it's defense, as well as fight to protect democracy abroad if the need ever arose. Jeraddoians tend to be loyal, and if a Jeraddoian promised to do something, then more often than not they would follow through with that promise.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
The United States' main strength is the large amounts of natural minerials avaliable in the Continental United States, allowing major economic independance. It's main weakness however is similar, there is very little oil in the area that can be easily extracted, and although more is being found and the intention is to continue to increase the ability to get more, Jeraddo is still largely dependant on foreign oil.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
Judea stands for a number of values that the US feels strongly in and is willing to support and defend if need be. Jeraddo was once a member of Judea, back in it's early days and wishes to aid her determination, ambition and zeal to an already great region.

As I said before, I was a member of Judea back in 2009 I think, although it may have been later, and upon my return to NS-RPing I would very much like to rejoin such a prestigious region.

He lead a revolt, which eventually, overcame the oppressive regime. Since then, Jeremiah Deathly reformed the government and where extremely thankful for all that Deathly did, thus naming the country Deathly. The people live simple lives, reminded daily of all who sacrificed for their current freedom. However, no one is ignorant of all those outside of the nation who suffer and die under oppressive government just like they had. Their wish was to spread freedom, while protecting the citizens of the native nation. It is custom for all people over the age of 16 to join the military (unless religious, physical, or mental reasons) , after serving two years, the government helps pay for the people to start their own business or continue in their education. Their are no school breaks in the public school system so general the High School graduation age is 15-16. All member know how to fight and are apart of the Reserves automatically. They keep up their training Bi-weekly. The nation also knows of the Super Solider program in Deathly, and many offer their kids to join in, because it is considered a great honor to serve as a super solider. Deathly's main export is Weapons.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Great army and defense. It's protection of citizens, because many of the Officers in the army are to trusting.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
Deathly has a strict protect the citizens policy.

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
Judea sounded like a good Alliance to join, so I wish to join it.

V. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?
Never, to my knowledge, met them.
