I knew about your incoming super-busy schedule but... I really didn't realize it would have brought you SO far with your plans about lowering your involvement with NS.

I am... speechless, really. With you, I'm losing one of the best NS friends I've ever had. I HONESTLY wish I had the strenght to go on writing something else, but I really miss the ability to detect my keyb through the tears in my eyes. And you probably know I'm not a guy showing his feelings so blatantly over the net.

Kandarin,

Thank you for everything that you have done for Nationstates. The game would not have gotten as far as it is today without you. Even myself as an Invader at one point in time I had greatly respected you. I never attempted to take over the Rejected Realms because it would have been disrespectful. It was an honor to play with you throughout the years, and I will always remember the Rejected Realms as "Kandy's Place".

I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and I do hope you will come on every once in a while just to say hi.

I find it really hard to imagine the RR without you as its leader, but if this is how it has to be...

I know we've exchanged far too few words during my time on NS (6 years?), but if it hadn't been for you, I probably would not still be playing. I remember being angry after being banjected and deciding to throw in the towel, but got a message from you asking me to join the Rejected Realms Army. I've always been thankful you did that - it got me back into the game with a great group of people. You have always had my utmost respect.

Very sad to see you go, and I wish you all the best in the Real World...

I reckon we should hold an NS wide annual memorial BBQ for Kandy (On top of TRR's usual BBQ's) to remember him by.

For those with an interest in the weirdness factor of not seeing me in the RR...I suppose the easiest and safest way to make the transition would be to just give Nai my main nation. There'd be some confusion initially, but we'd get to keep the same name over the door and she has a sterling track record with these things.

The admins would probably remove the nation's Editor status (and give it to NoQ, if they agree to do that).

Kandy, you've always been one of the "touchstones" in the NS world, and most certainly in MY NS world. I'm not good at "good-byes" so as far as I'm concerned, this isn't one. We'll keep in touch other ways.
