Government types

Postby Estados de Animo » Sun Aug 15, 2010 10:16 am

Hi all, this is my first post ever :)

My question is: may I find somewhere and explanation for the different names for the government types?

I've noticed my recently created nation is a New York Times Democrazy (I meant, democracy, and I promised it was an involuntary typo) and I wonder why is it called like that. Considering that they have an agreement with the newspaper I read in my country, I wonder if my political beliefs have been implanted into me, I think they call it "Inception" :D

Welcome! This is a good picture helping explain how each government type is decided, its not official but its pretty spot on.

Thanks! I had found that picture at the Wikipedia. There is also a Wiki for the game, I don't post the link in case it's not official or whatever (I don't know the rules yet).

But I was looking for a longer explanation, and at least I found one specifically for the New York Times Democrazy at yahoo answers, somebody asked there:

NSWiki is well-known and it's generally okay to post links to it (and most sites, so long as it's relevant). You can find rules on what links are forbidden here: viewtopic.php?p=79#p79
I wish I remember who wrote:Games like Nationstates are like a big cardboard box, and there are two kinds of people in the world. The kind who look at the empty void inside the box and ask "Where the hell is it?" and the kind who jump into the box with their friends and make it into a fort, or a spaceship.

Thanks! That's a big long glossary, with concepts I think I had never heard of ("Trollbaiting"...) :D
