About us

The UEPU Federal Republic was founded the 16th of August 2024 by The United Economic Prosperity Union, Founder and current Governor of the region. Initially created as a colony of the region UEPU, it declared its independency from the UEPU and formed its own government. Since then, the UEPU saw a decline of its population, and merged with another region, while the UEPU Federal Republic was flourishing, and patiently building its institutions and its community. We say it there once and for all : the UEPU Federal Republic is INDEPENDENT from the UEPU and from all its successors : we only have a common name and a common ancient history. The UEPU Federal Republic stands for equality, democracy, transparency and peace. We firmly reject fascism and bigotry.
We welcome LGBT people and respect their identity and their experiences, in accordance with our core value of equality.

The UEPU Federal Republic is a member of the interregional organisation known as the RainDrop Pact ! Together, we managed to reach the 5th place of the leaderboard of N-Day 13, and the 6th place during N-Day 14. Long live RainDrop Pact, and long live the UEPU Federal Republic !

The President is the World Assembly Delegate of the UEPU Federal Republic with Executive powers, while the Vice-President is the Vice-Delegate; in case of resignation or removal of the President, the Vice-President becomes President.
In the absence of a President and of a Vice-President, the Speaker and the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament respectively become Interim President and Interim Vice-President of the UEPU Federal Republic until the next presidential election.

Governorate Office

The Governorate Office, composed of the Governor and of the officers appointed unilaterally by the Governor, has justice powers and monitors the presidential elections and the votes of bills and Constitutional Amendments. The Governor is the highest judicial authority within the UEPU Federal Republic.

Parliament and Party Representatives

The Speaker of the Parliament is elected every three months, in the middle of the presidential term, and is tasked with parliamentary matters, such as introducing bills in Parliament or explaining the laws and the Constitution to the citizens. Eieryn, former President of the UEPU Federal Republic, has been elected as Speaker the 26th of July, and the next vote will begin the 16th of October and end the 21st of October.

Each of the three largest registered political parties of the UEPU Federal Republic and each political party with 3 WA members or more has the right to have a Party Representative, who can introduce bills and Constitutional Amendments in Parliament. Creation of two colonies for Roleplay and Polls

The UEPU Federal Republic continues its development ! After the presidential elections, the new government comes with many initiatives. One of them is the creation of a new Roleplay, pushed forward by our Minister of Roleplay Nubilis, which will take place in our new Roleplay region, UEPU Federal Republic Roleplay !
The preparation of the Roleplay is currently ongoing, but the rules of the Roleplay, for example, have been enacted, thanks to the hard work of Nubilis.

Another initiative, on an idea of I am Anarchy, is the creation of a UEPU Federal Republic region dedicated to funny polls. The region is now ready, UEPU Federal Republic Polls, and the Minister of Polls should be appointed soon.

Appointment of the members of the Committee on Legal Coherence

The President The Great Empire of Europe II, in accordance with the bill Establishment of the Committee on Legal Coherence, has decided to nominate four nations for this Committee on Legal Coherence : Muqaddasah, Val de France, Separtia and Greater Medway. This Committee will have the task, upon request by the President, the Vice-President, the Prime Minister, the Governor, or a Party Representative, to issue an opinion regarding a law project or a law already passed.

New regional map

After one month gathering submissions, Eieryn, former member of the Interim Government and now Vice-President and Spokesperson of the Government of the UEPU Federal Republic, has created a regional map based on these submissions. The map is now added to the World Factbook of the UEPU Federal Republic. The region continues its development !

Closure of the embassy with The Mood

Unfortunately, the Government of the UEPU Federal Republic has closed the embassy with The Mood. This was because of the large amount of problematic embassies of The Mood, that the Government of The Mood refused to close : many of the regions they had an embassy with also had an embassy with fascist regions, such as Scandinavia, Spyra, Pecan Sandies, Bus Stop or Arconian Empire, and other regions had homophobic and transphobic behaviours, such as Raxulan Empire.
We cannot tolerate such a tolerance towards homophobia, transphobia or fascism ; and in application of the article 1, point ii of our Regional Embassy Policy, we therefore decided to close the embassy.
The UEPU Federal Republic reaffirms its commitment to tolerance, openness and inclusiveness, and stands firmly against fascism, homophobia and transphobia.

Resignation of the President The Great Empire of Europe II

Sadly, the President of the UEPU Federal Republic, The Great Empire of Europe II, has decided to resign from the Presidency and from the Ministry of Culture today, and to leave the region. You can find their post below :

We will regret The Great Empire of Europe II, a proud and active member of our community, and we wish them good luck in all their future experiences.

The Vice-President, Eieryn, has now become the President of the UEPU Federal Republic, and therefore will soon be the World Assembly Delegate, while Nubilis, current Minister of Roleplay, becomes the new Minister of Culture.

Appointment of a Minister of Defence : Muqaddasah

"Information is power" This sentence is even more true on NationStates, and this is why a position of Minister of Defence is always useful for a region. We want to be informed, in order to make informed choices, and this is the reason of this new initiative of the government of the UEPU Federal Republic.
The choice of Muqaddasah was for us an evidence. Already invested in the region, Muqaddasah has written two Regional bills and is a member of the Committee on Legal Coherence, which has the task to review the laws. And they have already demonstrated their ability to search for information and to summarize them in a report, as they did during the raid of Greater World Coexistence Sphere before even becoming the Minister of Defence.

Appointment of a Minister of Intelligence Services : Nubilis

Nubilis, already Minister of Culture and Roleplay, has been appointed to the position of Minister of Intelligence Services. This nomination comes from the need of a Minister of Intelligence Services for the UEPU Federal Republic, and also from a proposition of Nubilis to seize names associated with fascism or terrorist groups, in order to prevent their use and to remind us of the dangers of fascism and terrorism. Several names have already been seized, such as Facism or ISIS, and the headquarters of this operation are the Federal Legion, the new regional militia of the UEPU Federal Republic.

Appointment of a Roleplay Moderator : Greater Medway

Since the Roleplay has started in UEPU Federal Republic Roleplay, it has been noticed that while some qualitative posts have been written, other posts were one-sentence posts with random emojis. As our Minister of Roleplay Nubilis, stated, this situation cannot last more, and this appointment of Greater Medway, who is a good roleplayer who has written qualitative posts and has already brought up initiatives for the Roleplay, is one of the measures that the government of the UEPU Federal Republic is going to take.

The map of the UEPU Federal Republic is featured

Eieryn had started to create a regional map during the Interim Government, in which Eieryn was participating ; and it has become reality on NationStates a few weeks ago. Since then, Eieryn has updated the map every time a nation claimed a territory, and each nation of the map has endorsed the map : and this leads to this feature.
Today, the map of the UEPU Federal Republic has been featured. We see it as a reward for our efforts for the development of the region, and this encourages us to pursue this development of the UEPU Federal Republic.

Since the beginning of the presidency of the Social Progressive Party (formerly with The Great Empire of Europe II, now with Eieryn), we are reviewing our embassies, as we cannot tolerate problematic behaviour from our embassy regions. For that reason, we have already closed the embassy with The Mood ; and today, the embassy with THE W0RLD is closing.
We already had concerns about this embassy, as the region seemed to be considered problematic by most participants of NS Gameplay. However, adopting the principle of "innocent until proven guilty" we preferred to gather proofs of their behaviour before taking action. Now that this is done, and that we see that it is far worse than we could have expected, we are more than willing to close this embassy with such a problematic region. This embassy was an error that we have made for more than one year, but we are correcting it now, at last.

Step by step, reform by reform, we correct our past errors and continue to develop the UEPU Federal Republic. We will never be prefect, but we remain consistent with our values.

In less than one month, we have appointed new ministers, officially joined the RainDrop Pact, done a presidential transition (from The Great Empire of Europe II to myself), passed bills and Constitutional Amendments (especially the new RMB Rules and the creation of citizenship, among many other things), created a roleplay region (UEPU Federal Republic Roleplay), a poll region (UEPU Federal Republic Polls), closed two problematic embassies, created a regional map, created an enjoyable environment for roleplay, and much more. We have achieved many of our goals of this presidential term (while it will only last two months and not three months, due to exceptional circumstances that changed the schedule), but we don't plan to stop now.

Construction of the embassy with Sancturia

The UEPU Federal Republic and Sancturia, through the negotiations between the President of the UEPU Federal Republic Eieryn and the Minister of Diplomacy of Sancturia Lacari, have decided to formally establish diplomatic relations and to open an embassy.
We hope that this will be the beginning of a great relationship between our two regions.

The Roleplay officially starts

Due to the strong demand in the UEPU Federal Republic for roleplay, the President Eieryn has decided to put the other reforms that the President planned to do on pause and to reform personally the Roleplay.
Due to the temporary inactivity of Nubilis, our Minister of Roleplay, the President becomes the Interim Minister of Roleplay until the roleplay is fully launched and the Minister of Roleplay becomes more active. The President has already created a roleplay map, published a form for roleplayers to provide their national information, and co-authored a law to create rules for the Roleplay, authored by our Roleplay Moderator Greater Medway.
This topic of roleplay is crucial in the UEPU Federal Republic, and is currently receiving my fullest attention.

Closure of the embassy with Asian Cooperation Pact

In the continuity of our review of our embassies, the UEPU Federal Republic has decided to close the embassy with Asian Cooperation Pact. The region was inactive, but the worst problem was their embassy with Shation, a fascist region, which goes against the values the UEPU Federal Republic seeks to defend.

Nomination of a new Second Successor

Yesterday, our Governor, The United Economic Prosperity Union, has decided to nominate Muqaddasah at the position of Second Successor, replacing VolksBund Europa, who will however remain Vice-President of the UEPU Federal Republic.
This follows the nomination of Muqaddasah at the Ministries of Defence and Internal Affairs, both of which already managed efficiently and qualitatively by the new Minister.

Eieryn leaves NationStates / Assumption of New Spokesperson

Due to unfortunate circumstances surrounding the permanent resignation of Eieryn from all of their current position, including the Spokesperson of the UEPU Federal Republic, I have been tasked to resume this thread. Although we are deeply saddened by the departure of Eieryn, we believe that the region must continue under a new leadership which is vital for our progress. Therefore, in accordance with the wishes of the outgoing President of the UEPU Federal Republic, I am stepping into the role of Spokesperson.

Muqaddasah, who has been incredibly active within the region, will become the First Successor following my resignation unless the Governor decides otherwise, and I hope that Muqaddasah will continue to participate in the Executive branch and in the Governorate Office. I also nominate Muqaddasah as the Spokesperson of the Government, which encompasses, among other things, to enact dispatches and to publish news on the Embassy thread of the UEPU Federal Republic, unless they want to abandon the thread.

Hate to bug you guys again but what "proof" did you guys find exactly. I'm intrigued.

We have noticed 19 occurrences of moderation issues on their RMB, showing their lack of action against offensive behaviour, and other problematic posts and behaviours.
And I haven't mentioned everything.

I see what point your trying to make but a lot of this stuff is outdated and a lot of the offenders were deat'd and have changed. Another factor you should've considered was that mostly everyone in the W0rld including myself are under the age of 16. Now this isn't justification for those people's actions but it should shine a light on who the actual posters are and why they behave the way they behave. The government of the W0rld cannot if people WA mult but I do think that one example was unfair. As I said once the offenders were deat'd once or twice the woke and stopped attacking each other which is the state that the region is in currently and has been in for a while. Closing embassies for the reasons listed alone seems unfair to me.

We prefer if they actually are willing to reform themselves and reflect on their actions and show that change long-term; one month of 'being clean' does not subsequently mean you have absolved yourself of these misconducts.

Fifth Presidential Election

This presidential term, due to a Constitutional Amendment, has exceptionally lasted only two months instead of three, but there are have been three presidents during this presidential term, due to the successive resignations of The Great Empire of Europe II and Eieryn. VolksBund Europa, as the former Vice-President during the presidency of Eieryn, is now the President for the rest of this presidential term, until the 11th of June. As Eieryn still holds the WA Delegacy, the position of Caretaker of the Presidency has been created for the transition period and given to Eieryn until VolksBund Europa gets the Delegacy.

However, it looks like VolksBund Europa will be able to hold the presidency longer, because for the first time, there is only one candidate to the Presidency of the UEPU Federal Republic : VolksBund Europa, from the Social Progressive Party.
Even if the stakes are not very high, these presidential elections are the occasion to think about the future of the region, and what the members of the region want for this new presidential term, that will last 3 months.

According to the Constitution, the presidential poll has been opened today, even if there is only one candidate. Voters are now able to select the Blank vote option. The poll will last ten days.

Due to the recent constitutional changes, the rules to be able to vote have been tightened : while you formerly just needed to be a World Assembly member, you have now to acquire citizenship by maintaining a presence of at least 5 days in the region, and this before the vote. However, the constitutional changes also create the External citizenship, which enable citizens to vote while having their World Assembly membership in another region by sending their request to become an External citizen to the Governorate Office. Currently, there is one External citizen, the Governor himself, The United Economic Prosperity Union, who has already cast his vote on the RMB.
