Best Nation in the World: Third Time's a Charm

Couldn't find a thread about this year's Best Nation minigame to discuss stuff in, so apologies if this is a duplicate thread!

So, what are your thoughts on the minigame returning/how are y'all choosing which nations to vote for this year? I'm personally prioritizing WA nations, since I'm assuming those are 'main' accounts and want to get enough actual people to a rank as possible. I'm using cool factor of the flag/motto and the amount of stat badges as backup tiebreakers.

Besides that, I never got placed in a matchup in the last event, so here's hoping I actually get ranked this year

I have yet to see someone I actually recognize, so I'm just going by if there's a factbook, custom flag that's actually a flag, custom motto, badges.

I'm mostly intrigued by their opposing interpretations of the Mordorian economy.

Congrats Rublex for being the official best nation in the world! This is the first time the winning nation is not a legendary card and the first time the winning nation doesn't have a card in all 3 seasons, so updating my 'best nations' collection will be a little easier than expected

And this edition was a pretty successful one for me: I actually managed to get a rank this time around (granted, it's 54k-ish, but hey that's something!) - and more impressively I somehow got one of my card farming puppets to stay in the top 1,000 (Richmond-VA- my beloved)

For next year, I think it would be cool if there was some sort of additional weighting system to increase your chance of appearing in a match-up based off factors that would suggest a more 'interesting' nation (WA membership, factbooks/dispatches, custom flags/custom banners, if you've submitted votes for the event, etc.). It's pretty clear the game can't get through all 290k nations in one day and it ends up leaving some high-effort nations out. I doubt this is very high on the site's priority list though and that's probably a discussion for the Technical forum.

I'm still not quite sure why my main nation (again!!) apparently didn't even pop once. No ranking for it. Ah well!

Two of my puppets did get top-1000 though! So was cool seeing at least some of my nations do well. =) I wasn't online most of the day so didn't vote much, but thought it was fun seeing this mini-game make a re-appearance.

I personally prioritize factbook/dispatch count as it shows how much effort someone puts into their nation, therefore making them the best.
