The Serene Republic of Violetia, or just Violetia for short, is a rapidly-growing pure democracy with a flourishing roleplay and an active and capable regional administration. Founded by our Premier Serendipitie, we are a highly inclusive modern-tech roleplay region that has amassed over a hundred nations in a matter of three months since our founding. If you would've read the OP in said thread, you wouldn't have been treated "rudely" (i.e. being told to read the OP and not post again due to the RP being Violetia-only, as clearly stated)

As the owner of the founder account of Violetia, and Premier thereunto, it is incredibly unfortunate that I have recently discovered that the region of Marisaile has blantantly stolen our regional infrastructure, and refuses to remove it despite mounting pressure from our region.

Despite claiming to have contacted me and the wider Violetian government first (which never happened), this so-called RP region has shamelessly ripped off much of Violetia's key dispatches, and refusing to take it down, claiming that they have every right to use "what is in the public domain". It is downright embarassing to see this region attempt to pass off theft as within their right to do so.

Here are a few key examples of how Violetia has had its regional infrastructure stolen:

I think the more pressing matter is the fact that the copycats have refused to take it down, despite admitting their own plagiarism:

I omitted usernames to protect privacy of the individuals to prevent any sort of harrassment.

It is a shame that I have felt compelled to write this, however at large I feel as though the wider community should be aware of the situation. The NS mods are already looking into the issue, so hopefully it can be resolved soon. However, I encourage our embassy regions and others to not form any sort of relationship with this region.

Announcements

• March 28-29th marks the voting period for Violetia’s second General Secretary election! Called by the current incumbent in the position, Frandonia (who was appointed by the Founder after Culuas left), this election will serve (hopefully) for a full 60 day term governing the region. The current candidates are Frandonia (running for re-election) and Astrellin. Both are independent.
• Embassies have opened with several regions, like The Free Nations Region, The Phoenix Imperium, Lands End, and several other notable regions. We hope to maintain friendly relations with them and possibly more regions in the future.
• A change has been made to the cabinet, with the roles of Commissariat of Home Affairs and the Commissariat of Culture being merged into one position called the Commissariat of State Information currently held by our own Rosaenia.
• The Violetian Cards Guild is up and running after the merger between Sildoria and Violetia, and has been holding cars giveaways. To join, simply contact me and I’ll add you to the roster. Any citizen of Violetia or resident of embassy regions can join and win cards of epic and legendary rarity for free.
• Several things have happened in Violetia’s Roleplay Department, with Norrs implementing several changes. A RP date system has been created with a ratio of one RL day to equal three RP days. The roleplay date can be found through a link in the WFE. Norrs has also revised GDP and population limitations with new hard and soft caps. In addition, Syrasia introduced the weekly worldbuilding prompt on the RMB to promote worldbuilding activity.

Announcements

• Violetia is going through our first major revamp! It has been discussed by the upper levels of government the changing to a Constitutional Monarchy, following in the footsteps of our now-deceased sister region Sildoria. Now, don’t be thinking that Violetia will no longer be a democracy. Violetia is still a full-fledged democracy, will democratically-elected officials, but now has an Imperial Royarch (who of course is Syrasia).
• The election has concluded! Astrellin, otherwise known as Aav on the discord, has been elected General Secretary (or Minister-President after the revamp) with a vote of 11-8, with 7 abstaining. If you haven’t already, make sure and congratulate her on her victory and give your endorsement!
• A new Associate Justice has been appointed by popular vote. Our previous General Secretary Frandonia was recommended to the position and passed the recent vote, becoming Violetia’s first Associate Justice! They will serve next to our current supreme justice Firnea.

I didn’t make the change, it was Syrasia. I’m neutral on the change, I’m fine either way. We did have a vote on the Hellebores forum, but the result hasn’t been released. Nobody really strongly opposes the change, but concerns have been voiced and answered. To be completely honest, it’s really more of an aesthetic change minus the addition of a monarch.

Coming from a none-government position, I do have some objections on the basis that not all members of the region are active on the Hellebores Form, and some may not have access or even know it exists, limiting the range of the vote substantially in comparison to the regions' population. I mean, for a region of some 169, a total of nine of those are actually making that choice, which loops back around to my first point.

Then again, it's already settled, so no point in yelling at a wall and expecting it to turn blue.

Announcements

• Talks of a Frontier region being created to filter more new nations towards Violetia have begun. The region’s development has been put on the back burner for now, but it will be called Foxglove and will have its own community and government, ultimately boosting recruitment for Violetia.
• Our Imperial Royarch Syrasia has made a big announcement recently, covering multiple topics. May 30th is the date set for our next General Election, the election to determine who our next Minister-President will be. Campaigning starts May 23rd, so candidates will have had to declare their candidacy by that date. In addition, our RP Chancellor is planning on making some changes to the roleplay department, mainly aesthetic changes that will happen on her own time.
• Our freshly-appointed Minister of Interior, Tvembov, has introduced the semi-daily Question of the Day! You are welcome to head over to our RMB and check it out!
• Syrasia has awarded some citizens with the first ever imperial orders! These are awards of the highest merit awarded to those who have served Violetia well thus far. Be sure to check them out here!

Announcements

Following the announcement of the election in our last report, it ended with the appointment of Lunapoli as the new Minister-President following no other candidates putting themselves forward for election. She will now serve until the next writ of election is issued by the Royach, His Majesty Syrasia. She has vowed to serve as a continuity candidate, with no major changes except what is needed for the good of the region being made. In other government news, Amethynia, who is also to continue running a weekly quiz following large amounts of support and enthusiasm, has been appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs, we wish her the best in her new role.

Major changes are coming to the RP Chancellery, with current Chancellor Norudo planning to majorly overhaul the Chancellery in a plan known as ‘RP 2.0’ which promises to improve and make the experience much easier and improve the current RP system used by our region. The plans involve quality of life improvements, changes to the application to become a member of the RP, and various other changes. The plan will likely go ahead in the following months, with Norudo having spent large portions of her time dedicated to the update.

We also offer our congratulations to those who have been elevated to an imperial order for their services to the Imperial Royarchy and it’s subjects, and with them, they have made the community all the better. Announcements

• We are to announce yet another change within our executive team. Following the withdrawal of Tvembov from the office of Minister of the Interior, on July 3rd, an application process was launched in similar fashion to the last one. After the 48 hour deadline, Violetia's executive staff decided to give the role to Pembina. In addition to their job as chief editor of Violetia's Purple Post, they have announced ambitious plans to make the region a better place. We are looking forward to what they can do, and are optimistic Violetia will only grow more solid in the process. Congratulations to Pembina, and thank you for offering your service.

• Shortly after, our new Minister of the Interior put his ambitions into action, and Violetia is now officially about to launch a referendum. This vote will determine whether the region shall stay with its current Imperial Royarchy system, or if we are going to see a return to all-out democracy. It has already been announced that Violetia will keep Syrasia as its founder regardless of the outcome of the referendum. The topic has proven to be rather controversial, as the members of Violetia's well-diversified community have shown vastly different opinions regarding the matter, and currently, it is nearly impossible to predict the outcome of the referendum. We will keep you updated.

• Minister-President and World Assembly Delegate Lunapoli has confirmed that both The Orwell Society, as well as Tvembov will be rewarded with Imperial Orders for outstanding long-time service. These honors will be finalized after her term as Violetia's Minister-President. Congratulations to both in advance.

• Finally, a note on my own account: Violetia's Ministry of External Affairs intends to post more regular updates in the future. As a result, future updates may end up being shorter, but they will be a lot more up to date as well.
