Major Regional Court Announcement

To those who are intererested,

I am very happy to announce that the Official Court Documentation for Case #003: Vordoslavia v. TRTHNBB is now released! As a reminder, the Case began on May 1st, 2024 when the Court accepted Vordoslavia's petition to challenge his Third CoC Strike and ended on May 6th, 2024 when he subsequently defied a Court-Issued Injunction and broke the no-contact order. Remember folks, if you petition the Court, follow the Court's orders!

Shout out to Western Arba Fir for their participation in a difficult case, Mjau/America the Greater/New United Common-lands for contributing to and ultimately presenting a beautiful legal defense and document, and The Kaverian/Syrasia for their participation and great work as Interim Justices!

Embassies Established with The East Pacific
May 26th 2024

Good morning!

I am very please to report, we have successfully opened Embassies with The East Pacific (TEP) as of May 26th, 2024. Over the past couple of months, we have participated in some joint events with TEP, joining a Civ 6 event hosted by TEP, and hosting a few Civ 6 and TOS games nights here as well. I am very glad we have managed to formalise this, opening and official embassy with TEP.

Can't wait to see some citizens from TEP participate in cultural events hosted by TRTHNBB, and vice versa!

Closure of Embassies with Aurora
Recently, we came together as a region to conduct a democratic vote on whether we should exit the InterLeft organization. Our vote to leave the InterLeft saw major changes in an attempt to accommodate Aurora’s requests, but we were more than willing to make those changes in order to maintain our friendship with Aurora. Our residents voted overwhelmingly in favor of leaving the InterLeft, and so we planned an amicable split, formally announcing our intention to maintain relations with all remaining member regions. This was no empty promise – we demonstrably wished to uphold treaties of friendship with each of our former InterLeft allies.

However, Aurora has made it impossible for us to maintain these relations. Eurasia, a representative of their highest governing body, released an official statement condemning our actions. This statement received the support of many governing members of Aurora, and was displayed on our RMB, followed by a vitriolic argument with Yodle, our founder.

Following this argument, the Supreme Soviet of Aurora proposed to abolish our Treaty of Friendship, and the motion was passed. They claim that our actions have been disrespectful and that we have failed in our obligation as an ally. We will not suffer these accusations any longer. We have not brought these issues onto Aurora’s own private forums, and our government has not treated Aurora with any disrespect. We reiterated our intention to maintain relations on many occasions, and Aurora took advantage of our respect and trust. They have cultivated an environment of disrespect and outright dishonesty toward our region, and we refuse to sit idly by and allow unfounded accusations to be leveled at us.

When we voted to leave the InterLeft, we were asserting our right to decide our own foreign policy. Our region must once again act to maintain its independence and demand mutual respect from those who would call themselves our allies. Aurora accused us of breaching their trust, and when we attempted to remedy their concerns, they responded by formally ending our friendship. For that reason, we are officially closing our embassies with Aurora and ending all formal relations.

Establishment of the World Assembly Commission

Denizens of NBB,

Through the authority granted by the Governorship of our great region, as well as the existing legal ambiguity in our Constitution, I hereby announce the establishment of the WA Commission to oversee the Delegacy and future WA programs moving forward. The specific details of the WA Commission will be fleshed out in future communications to the region but as my first act, I will be appointing New United Common-lands & America the Greater. These appointments will be "lifetime appointments," in the sense that all members of the Commission will hold their seats until they either retire or cease to exist in NationStates. I believe that both appointees have the requisite dedication, experience, motivation, and reliability to fulfill their roles to the greatest extent that can be reasonably achieved. I look forward to working with NUCL and ATG to expand upon and develop the Delegacy and its associated programs!

Major WA Commission Announcement

As the very first, unanimous, action of the WA Commission, we are putting forward a 7-Day WA Delegacy Transfer Approval Vote, accessible to all WA Nations residing in The Region That Has No Big Banks. A WA Delegacy Transfer Approval is a vote that democratizes the nomination approval process for a WA Delegate Candidate, that the Commission believes is the best fit for the role, to be officially appointed to the office of WA Delegate. It will take place via a regional poll linked at the bottom of this announcement.

The Delegacy is a prestigious, front-facing position for any region, especially for TRTHNBB. This influential position is a long-term responsibility, with expectations of up to one year's worth of service to the region. WA Delegates are expected to become familiar with all aspects of regional WA Management, including maximizing WA & Influence metrics week-to-week, increasing endotarting participation through our Endotarting Initiative, encouraging non-WA nations to convert to WA Nations, maximizing Delegate endorsements, and any related matters. It can not be understated how pivotal of a role the Delegacy can be, and because of the nature of the responsibility required for the role, the Commission will be putting forward America the Greater as our WA Delegate Nominee.

ATG is our current Minister of Domestic Affairs, but this was not their first time in regional leadership. Their ties to the region date back to the first days of TRTHNBB's creation, where ATG worked their way up the leadership ladder from Minister of External Affairs for two terms, to running for President in the third term and finally attaining the position in the fourth Term. This is over 16 months, and during this time ATG proved to be a phenomenal diplomat, steering us through the chaos of our departure from NSLeft. Little did we know back then that we would have an equally bitter separation with InterLeft, a truly historical irony. The work that ATG put into this region in those early days was of the utmost quality, and they performed a great service to the TRTHNBB in its first era. But time goes on, and life circumstances happen that push NationStates to the side, and players leave for extended periods of time.

But as has been demonstrated historically, and even to this day with former members returning to the game, this community is special and it stays with people, long after their presence has gone. This is true for ATG as well, as they themselves returned briefly a few times. But this changed when they came back full force starting around 8 months ago. In the time since they've returned, they have accomplished more for this region, than I had in a very long time. Whilst I believe they made their historical mark known in TRTHNBB's first era, it is unparalleled to the level that ATG has personally accomplished since his return. As soon as they expressed their interest in the role that I have been seeking to place, it was the clearest "yes" of my entire 8-year career on NationStates. I believe ATG is not just only the ideal candidate for such a role, but that they have earned the right to become Delegate through their years of service to this region, especially in recent times.

Embassies established with 10,000 Islands/XKI
June 18th 2024

Good evening!

As the sun sets on the TRTHNBB, we have grown richer in friends, again. This time we extended our friendship towards the isles aplenty, 10,000 Islands, also known by their endonym of XKI. Having proved themselves a reliant partner in the Jellyfish Elite Fighting Force, JEFF, during the last Nday, both regions agreed to deepening relations, which has now finally culminated in establishing embassies!-We are happy to officially announce this new relationship, and are looking forward to coöperating more closely with our new friends on the 10K Islands!

We wish that this also results in a deepened cultural exchange, and will be most delighted by our new friends to join us for our next games night!

WA Commission Communiqué

America the Greater is now NBB’s WA Delegate!

After a near-unanimous vote of 27-2 in the Nomination Approval to transfer the Delegacy to ATG (https://www.nationstates.net/page=poll/p=301931), the WA Commission is very happy to announce that a successful transition has been completed placing ATG into the Delegacy, thus officially marking their first day as NBB WA Delegate:
June 21st, 2024

Going forward, the WA Commission will work alongside ATG in their new role of WA Delegate to grow our WA presence, both in endorsements and general participation amongst NBB’s WA Members. We aim to make the Delegacy a fully-fledged operation that can serve the region in ways that we have yet to imagine.

The Region That Has No Big Banks and Declansburg are proud to have participated in the raid of Morpheus, a region which had crossed lines by accepting and harboring behavior that, to our organizations, was simply unacceptable. This operation, Operation Greek Fire, was conducted a wide range of organizations, including: The East Pacific, Kantrias, Saint Osmund, Lair of the Dragon, The Region That Has No Big Banks, the Brotherhood of Malice, The Black Hawks, the Mystical Alliance, Sparkalia, Declansburg, The Crimson Crusaders and Palmetto, proving our commitment and dedication - and our willingness - to work with all who aspire to stomp out fascists, bastions of intolerance, and harbors of hate.

The Region That Has No Big Banks, through the Bankless Liberation Forces (BLF), and Declansburg, through the Evergreen Battalion, are proud to continue a military partnership and a shared mission of undertaking successful operations against regions that meet or harbor nations that possess the aforementioned categories.

"It's time for Morpheus, a frontier region, to come to an end. We have seen enough in this region. And now the world knows once again that we will not hesitate to act," said a formal statement released by a fully breached orca, whom has recently been named a regional officer in Morpheus on behalf of Evergreen Battalion.

“The BLF is committed to making NS a safe space for all Nations, no matter their community or background. The BLF will not stand idly by whilst regions like Morpheus allow intolerable bigotry and ableism to fester in their region. I am glad to have had the opportunity to stand in solidarity with our partners in Declansburg, and support the operation to close down Morpheus,” said BLF commander New United Common-lands, who has also been named an RO in Morpheus by the coalition.

It's worth noting that both organizations, the BLF and Evergreen Battalion, had ranked captains in Operation Greek Fire: New United Common-lands (BLF), and New Bradfordsburg (Evergreen Battalion). On behalf of both organizations, we communicate that it has been an honor to participate in the operation, and to have helped lead a well-orchestrated capture of Morpheus.

In total, the BLF provided six nations involved in the initial raid, and Evergreen Battalion provided four. Together, our regions brought 10 nations to the operation, which is a testament to our ability to make a difference at any time, any place: even early on a Saturday morning with minimal rest.

NBB Summer Fest 2024
Starts this weekend

Have any free time for the rest of this Summer... well not anymore! As, The Region That Has No Big Banks, is hosting a summer festival, dubbed NBB SummerFest (SF), we will have a number of activities and events over the next 6 weeks! Including: Games Nights, Movie Nights, Chess Tournaments, Civ 6 Games, Vicky 3 Games, HOI4 Games, trading card giveaways, daily polls and more.

Join us this Saturday 10th August for our Opening SF Games night, hosted by yours truly . We will be playing Among us, Gmod, Rocket Bot Royale and more! All coordinated from the NBB discord server.

Embassies established with The West Pacific

Hello!
We are pleased to announce, we have grown richer in friends, again. On Saturday we officially established an onsite embassy with the West Pacific (TWP)! This is a development from our Consulate which we opened back in October 2023.

We look forward to cooperating more closely with our new friends. We were also happy to extended the invite cordially to some of TWP’s previous Chess Arenas back last year, and it was nice to see some TWP participating in the Bankless Forest Chess Arena which we co-hosted (with Forest) back in April. But with our new embassies we of course hope this results in a deepened cultural exchange, and we hope to see plenty of TWP participation in NBB Games Nights and the rest of Summerfest!
