I want to create my own region and see it succeed, but I don't currently have too many friends on NationStates. Is it possible to start a region from scratch?

I started my region just about a week ago and we're doing great! As long as you have a plan and can recruit you definitely have a chance of success!

It definitely is possible, but you might need to pour a bit of time and effort into advertising your region, since it's pretty unlikely anyone going to join it randomly.

It is possible, but it will require a lot of time and effort, as some above have noted. You should have an established plan for what your region would be, what it will do, how it will stand out differently from other regions who will likely offer similar if not the same features.

You will then need to recruit...a lot. Rather it's through stamps, which requires money, or by a lot of manual recruitment, you will need to build up your core playerbase. This is by far the hardest part, but with a good of patience, you can make it happen.

The best way is to buy recruitment stamps.

If you don’t wanna spend money then I recommend staying in a region for a little bit, make some friends and then make the region.

Keep in mind a lot of luck goes into making a region.
