What happens to your endorsements after leaving a region?

I've been in the South Pacific for most of my nation's history, but recently I've created my own region. However, since my region has, like, no members, I decided to go back to the South Pacific before conditions get better, and my endorsements all went 'bye-bye!' Why did this happen? I've been scouring the internet for answers.

You can only endorse those in your current region. So, if you leave your region, you also leave your endorsements, because the people endorsing you won't be able to anymore - which means if you return to that region, your former endorsers will have to re-endorse you. Hope that makes sense/helps

Really? I tested it out with one endorsement yesterday, and when I returned I still had that 1 endorsement and I was still endorsing the people I endorsed earlier. I don't understand why, as I lost 300+ endorsements before.

Every twelve hours, the game goes through and updates its files on everyone's regions. If you move out and the game updates your file while you're out, you won't have those endorsements in that region when you come back. But if you go out and come back in before your file is updated, then you will keep your endorsements.

Yep, the game's twice-daily update system is designed to check the validity of endorsements by seeing if the endorser/endorsee are both in the WA as well as both in the same region. If you move regions but return before the update can validate, your endorsements survive
