About Us

The Republic of Chaylia is a unique region amongst NationStates. We are a true representative democracy, with no executive founder, and frequent elections for the position of World Assembly Delegate, and our legislature. The region is Soviet themed, with the delegate being named the People's Commissariat, and the legislature the Council of Soviets. We hold a heavy emphasis on region-building, and community-focused activities, wherein our government makes it the primary mission of the region to constantly expand the options afforded to our members to get involved in the region.

Foreign Policy

We want to be friends with you if you don't act like a jerk to other people. This means we won't open embassies with racist, fascist, homophobic, etc, regions. they're actually every three months for delegate and every month for council, council elections actually start right as I'm posting this, and will last until 2 days from now

The highly competitive September elections have concluded, with the Council of Soviets shifting in control from the Anarchist - Soviet Democratic Socialist Party to the All Union Soviet Party now holding a two-thirds majority on the Council. Please welcome the new members of the Council, USS Juneau, Terrasima, and Nyasi! They will face the task of creating procedural law for the Council, and elections! Best of luck to the new Council members!

Not an official update but thought I'd jump in and say that there were elections held which had USS Juneau elected People's Commissariat with New Scottsville, Takura, and Terrasima elected to the Council of Soviets. The Council of Soviets then called for a Constitutional Convention which opened today.

I'm a little confused. Why the need for a constitutional convention, Chaylia seems to have done quite well since the liberation? Either way, good luck to the new government.

@everyone Hello y'all.

Over the last several weeks, we have noticed a serious decline in the region, with an inability to maintain activity & generally an apathy towards most activities. @Scottie#2170 and I have come to the difficult decision to shutter the doors of the region, because we are a founderless region, and therefore vulnerable to significant harm should we remain open to anyone joining while our defenses decay away slowly. As I write this announcement, the region has been passworded gameside, and Scott has begun purging non-WA members.

It's a sad day, and I thank you for having joined us on our wonderful experiment to see what a founderless region could do. I really wish that I could be sending better news here, but unfortunately I cannot.

Once again, thank you for everything. If you wish to keep your nation in the region, and you are currently in the WA, you may do so as long as you are endorsing both me and Scott. This Discord will remain open indefinitely until such time as it too is shuttered - I do not have a timeline for that to occur.
