Text-based games can be amazing! I grew up playing several of them: Urban Dead, Hell Rising, Scroll Wars, Light Rising, and Improbable Island (to name a few) were extremely fun. And then of course NationStates is also incredibly fun.

All these modern games are nice, with their fancy graphics and stuff, but don't let them spoil the great games of the past for you. They're great too!
