Just as the title says. How can I use the NationStates website, or one of its pages, to determine the current world population? I have been playing NationStates since 2007--you'd think I would have knowledge of this--but I never thought to ask anybody. Thanks!

If you mean the total amount of population as a stat combined for all nations, there's two approaches that I can think of- 1. Multiple the average population of the world, findable on the census page, by the total number of nations in the world, which is on the world page. This gives a population of about (since I rounded with the population) 977 trillion people.
Maths- ~4.1B per nation multiplied by 238,441 nations
2. Wait until Z-day happens, and add up all the categories to find the total- Last Z-day's total was 812.9 trillion people
If you mean the total number of players playing on an average day, Alexa estimates peg it at 42,000 visitors to the website per day (no idea how accurate that is tho).
If you the total number of accounts, it's current 238,429 nations (findable on the World page)
