All in all, an underwhelming game. It's like opening a cards' pack; sometimes you get the rare hidden gem that's not defined by rarity, and most other times you get cash. At least in cards the puppet nations are useful, they can be junked and their remains used to buy other, more valuable cards.

This was a pretty clever idea, ruined by some people's desire to collect the most digital cards of digital nations possible. I don't think I've seen a single non-puppet/card farm yet, and I've been voting for like 20 minutes now.

They should run a filter on the database such that any collection of NAME + (#) where Number of results > 10 appears only as a single entry in the DB

I think an option should be added in settings for nations to opt-out of events like these, similar to how there's a vacation mode for issues. Don't know how feasible that is though, as I'm not a dev for NS.

On another note, the number of nations that have the same mottos (i.e. "Strength through Compliance", "Unity, Discipline, Work", "Glory to ____", etc.) is genuinely baffling. Not that my motto is any better, of course.

Those are just some of the mottos that NS gives you if you choose the "randomize" option when creating your nation.

the number of puppets is more of an issue.

This will become less of an issue as the event progresses. In the beginning, it's a purely random selection, but later on, you get more choices between nations who are already known to be pretty good (or at least not consistent losers).
