Hello!

I was wondering how other regions handle the dilemma of picking their regional leader. Ranked-choice voting or meritocracy. I have a rudimental knowledge of meritocracy. I wish how you operate ranked-choice voting in your region.

This is not for my region, I am a consultant for a 50-member region.

The candidates present themselves. They have said goodbye to their families. Even if they win, they will not see them again.

The competition is selected by lottery. Singing, baking, dancing, painting, quizzing-anything can happen.

They play. The TV audience votes by text like it's the 2000s. The player with the least votes is drowned in a tank on stage.

It starts again.

Ranked choice voting is handled differently by different regions, but a common method is the instant run-off vote.
