Then got the password after offering to help maintain the Embassy.

Oh boy am I now doing maintenance work!

Well, I've started the closure of the embassy with Traveling Wilburys in my region. Good work... I guess... on the whole long invasion process...*

*I do not agree with the invasion of The Embassy at all. However, I don't think Frenchy II's actions should go noticed (whether that's in a good way or a bad way).

Well allow me to just say, kudos. Nothing more annoying than thousands and thousands of embassy requests. No idea why NS staff let what was going to be a cool feature become just another spam tool. Could easily have hard limited requests from region per day to 10 or so and saved us all the annoyance that is The Embassy and other such regions.

While disappointed I can't lend an endo, I salute you nonetheless. I handed over the nation "Frenchy" to the mad genius a while back as that was my nickname IRL and I had grabbed the puppet ages ago. You're making your fellow Frenchys proud out here.

I thought the same about the region too - that it was a pointless region spamming irritating embassy requests for the sole sake of getting more of them. But there's actually a lot of people very upset about this invasion, who appear to genuinely care about the region. The Embassy changed a while ago to just targeting new regions for embassy requests (not endlessly spamming existing ones), and it's used by a lot of nations to chat and interact - many of whom otherwise would be left in their backwater regions, not engaging with the wider NS world. The Embassy might only have one native nation, but it does have a community.

I'm glad the lib looks like it's passing but if the natives don't come back then the region's good as dead. It sucks. The Embassy was fucking awesome, especially with the community it fostered between regions. Sucks that it's gone, but that's what you get when you cross paths with people who like to do nothing more than completely destroy regions.

Well as George Harrison says, "All things must pass away." In your case unfortunately that applies to the Embassy in its' current state. May it come back in the future? Of course, it seems that there are many who are disappointed by this raid and would certainly aid A Goblinoid Merchant in the restoration of the region. For now, however, let the sun set on this one and we'll move forward in the morning.

And what are you going to do about it apart from venting your spleen? You’ve been told that raiding is a part of the game that’s not going away so why aren’t you doing something to mitigate the effects?

Defender organisations such as TGW are always looking for members. If you feel that strongly why don’t you join them? Or are you above all of that mucky gameplay?

In this case especially, it’s known that r/d is part of the game, they surely must have known that they were a massive target for most raider orgs, Frenchy played everything well and then got rewarded for it by being the one responsible for getting into the embassy. It’s a game, games are meant to be fun, we like to raid and so it’s a fun thing for us when it works, there are ways that the region could have been protected, such as not giving the password away for example, but the password was revealed and we capitalised on that so yeah it is fun. And anyway, the embassy was mostly just a middleman tbf and an easy way for different regions to interact with each other would just be to set up embassies between each other cause then they aren’t alone in their backwater region as someone else said further up.

Well, if you aren't particularly attached to any region or Gameplay side to begin with, raiding can be pretty fun as it at least involves you more in the region scene.

Depends on whether raiders decide to refound. If raiders don't and do leave there may be a chance to liberate.

The liberations failed mostly due to a lack of numbers (as well as fast banjections and update bending on the part of the raiders, and on one attempt, a missed trigger due to human error on the part of the defenders). There were not enough numbers as the largest defender organisations (the Order of the Grey Wardens and 10000 Islands did not participate (as well as raiders being very compentent)). It was originally South Asians who said this, but if the largest orgs do not participate for whatever reason, they have a monopoly on defending and thus other defenders cannot alone get the numbers. This is a big problem, which also happened during the Chicken Overlords raid (Wardens did not liberate, and TITO was dealing with slow bureaucracy as to whether they are willing to defend). This must be solved so that regions such as the Embassy and Chicken Overlords can be successfully defended or liberated.
