Welcome to official Embassy Thread of Kaer Solas on NationStates Forums. Kaer Solas, in direct translation, means "Fortress of Light", which pretty much describes the vibes, that the region is trying to create. Kaer Solas is aiming for creating a positively vibing, vibrant, welcoming and friendly community. Kaer Solas is founded by Agalaesia, Heaveria, Pichtonia and Libertanny.

Regional Theme

Regional theme of Kaer Solas is a mix of Irish language, Celtic culture and Witcher world. The meaning of Kaer Solas is the Fortress of Light. The regional flag represents the Fifth Element (an element of magic from Witcher) and Sunrays, representing the Light.

"The Consalacht" is our Executive Regional Government, which means "The Consulate". The Head of Executive & Head of State is known as Archmaster, which is a fanfic part of Witcher theme, meaning, that Archmaster unites all Witcher Schools under one banner. Grandmasters are, what is a more common way, Ministers within the Executive. Each Grandmaster has additional being added to the name, for example Grandmaster Griffin is Minister of Foreign Affairs. Masters are simply Deputy Ministers. The Tribe is a gathering of all Citizens, which is also the Regional Legislature. The Gréine Assembly is a body of Founders. The Greine is an Irish word for sunray. The Founders are named as Druids. The Gréine Assembly is the regional Security and Justice body. The Eibhir's Inn is the neutral meeting place within region, Eibhir in Irish means granite... or in Witcher world - it's a Master Smith, who had a stage of being a Dumplings Master.

The Regional Government of Kaer Solas is split into 3 parts:
The Tribe - which is the assembly of all Citizens and regional Legislature
The Consalacht - which is the regional Executive Government, led by Archmaster
The Greine Assembly - which is the regional security and justice body and body of Founders, by the same time

Lib is paying us royalties for using a similar name, one sack of glitter per month for each citizen KS gets. For more profit, I became a citizen myself.

Anyway, KS has all the potential to be the next big thing. It already has a wholesome community and I am excited to see it grow!

The Government has been established

Per the recently passed Constitution of Kaer Solas, Founders (Druids) of Kaer Solas were tasked with appointing the first government for the duration of three months (after which, the first democratic elections shall happen). Although Founders had full liberty to appoint Speaker of the Tribe (regional legislature) and Archmaster (Head of State & Government), they have decided to make the choosing process more transparent and Resident-friendly. Any Resident of Kaer Solas was allowed to submit their self-nomination for Speaker, Archmaster, and Grandmasters’ offices. After small campaigning on Discord, the Government has been established and lists as follows:

The Constitution has passed

After few long weeks of working on the Constitution, where known Legislators, such as Darkslayer, Zukchiva, and Bachtendekuppen helped crafting it, the Constitution was recently put under the vote of all Residents. Following the vote, The Constitution has passed with 100% of voters voting in favor.

The Constitution hereby establishes:
The Gréine Assembly - as the security and justice body made out of Founders, that is empowered with appointing WA Delegate and citizenship activities and general justice;
The Tribe - the legislative body of Kaer Solas, made out of all Citizens and led by Speaker of the Tribe, that is empowered with creating laws of Kaer Solas and electing KS officials;
The Consalacht - as the executive body, led by Archmaster, that is tasked with maintaining the region and fulfilling various executive duties, where any Archmaster and Grandmaster may be challenged by any Citizen;
